I think Platinum has been overextending itself for a good while now. Scalebound was canceled after missing deadlines and Bayonetta 3 has shown nothing since its announcement in 2017.

Sony is essentially locking game performance and functionality behind an additional paywall. Players who upgrade from a PS4 to PS5 shouldn’t have to pay a premium to get PS5 functionally on a cross-gen game. There should be only one version of Horizon Forbidden West. Cross-gen games should just scale with the hardware that is running it.

“ The issue is not really making nor distributing fan-made games with their IP. It's announcing before it's finished. ”

I strongly disagree, the developers have no legal right to make games using IPs they don’t own. Even if the fan game in question was completed and released, Nintendo by law could rightfully take the game down.

Some fan projects are tolerated when the IP owner gives permission to develop. I don’t see Nintendo ever doing such a ...

Nintendo does not like people using their Intellectual properties freely. I’m surprised people are still making and trying to distribute fan-made games using Nintendo IP.

Not sure why the expansions are being ranked as individual titles in the Bioshock series.

I chance mixed feeling about Metroid Prime 2. I think I’ve beaten Prime 2 three times. I like the atmosphere and enemies of Prime 2 more than its predecessor. However, when I replayed the entire prime trilogy as an adult, I found Prime 2 to be the most frustrating and confusing of the 3 Prime games.

Traveling into Dark Ether was a core at times and some of the bosses felt very poorly designed. I personally think Prime 1 and 3 are better than 2 as an adult. Yet, as a teen I...

Personally I think additional XP should be tied to individual performance and playtime. I think what I previously described would keep players in matches and reduce quieting.

Titanfall 2 reminded me of Half-Life 2, every level was unique.

Nostalgia, the art of many modern Nintendo, including their endless ports, really isn’t anything special. Even Metroid Dread, a pretty good looking Switch title, still looks like it could have been made 10 years ago.

There is a level in Titanfall 2 named Effect and Cause. The previously mentioned level allows players to nearly instantly switch between two different variants of the same map due to rapid time travel. When switching time periods, enemies and the overall environment change. Titanfall 2 was released last gen for the XB1 and PS4.

I’m not a game developer. I don’t think it is not unreasonable to state that Rift Apart maybe technically possible on the PS4 with increased loading...

I don’t recall Enclave being a blockbuster. However, do remember watching a friend play Enclave on OG Xbox way back in the early 2000s. I was wooed by graphics.

I could imagine armour and helmets based on Doom and Gears of War could also be added to Halo Infinite.

I think the overall design of the campaign is a factor. Maybe the co-op campaign and solo campaign aren't identical like previous entries in the series? Personally, I believe Halo: Infinite co-op will differ significantly from the previous games.

I don’t think the studio is aiming for traditional co-op, e.g. no playing as functionally identical characters.

I don't see why co-op wouldn't be available at launch, unless the it different from traditional Halo co-op. I sometimes think Devs have been pushing themselves to expand their games too much. The Halo Infinite's semi-open world campaign seems much more time consuming to develop than the previous linear campaigns in the series.

I’m starting to believe the conspiracy about Call of Duty file sizes. Maybe Activision really does make COD games big to limit potential engagement in other titles.

Edit: apparently Vanguard is 75 GB and Warzone is another 200GB

I like that fact that Splitgate is bringing greater awareness to arena shooters in general. It is good to see a shooter with equal starts, weapons on map and an emphasis on player-skill having success on multiple platforms.

I have been playing the Splitgate beta. While I do find the game enjoyable, the weapons seem kinda bland. None of the guns stand out. Arena shooters like Halo, Quake, Unreal, Gears of War and Perfect Dark all have iconic guns [and other weapons].

I don’t think a bonus would be paid for reviewing in the 70s.
