It’s odd that this “reboot” is even called marathon. The original marathon was a dark, doom-influenced FPS, single player focused game. Its art went hard too.

I think the operators are one of the reasons there is no immersion filter. An immersion filter would likely need generic operators to be added, as some characters lack a non-goofy or grounded skin.
Nintendo focuses more on 1st party sales revenue than Sony or MS. Nintendo’s overall game revenue is considerably lower than Sony or MS, likely due to lower subscription numbers and fewer third party sales. https://newzoo.com/resource...
I think Space Marine 2’s health system needs to be reworked in the sequel. The health system tried to mimic Doom(2016) and Doom:Eternal, but wasn’t fluid enough. Thus, at least from my experience, obtaining health in Space Marine 2 could at times be awkward.
Trump went so hard on tariffs. He even tariffed an island inhabited by penguins.
Grounded did really well on Steam. It overall sales are probably quite profitable for Microsoft and Obsidian, as it was not a big budget game.
There’s been a plague of influencers visiting other countries to commit disrespectful acts for attention. Whether it be filming yourself littering in Tokyo, pranking locals, disrespecting historic sites or even harassing wildlife [stealing a baby wombat]. The bar keeps going lower and lower.
If anything it’s the United States moving towards authoritarianism.
I would love to have a new military shooter without operators and goofy skins.
An open world , single player DC super hero game with the nemesis system would have been great. Instead Warner Bros chased live-service and screwed over its developers.
I think BO 6’s spawning system is more of an issue than SBMM. I’ve played many shooters in my life. There are matches in BO 6’s where you are essentially at the mercy of the game’s spawn.
Then there’s me with a copy of Sekiro that I will never finish….
Younger adults in developed countries are increasingly living paycheque-to-paycheque.
I’ve pretty much given up on collecting games. physical games are dying, so I switched over to collecting action figures instead. Collector’s editions are released without disc over-ad-over again. Plus many games are incomplete on disc.
Most of the people on this site want Xbox to drop hardware apparently. If that happens good luck to them as consumers. Sony and Nintendo would jack up their prices.
Overall sales, full-priced sales and MT spending are all probably much higher on console than PC. What I speculated likely only applied to Take-Two. Some game companies are primarily PC.
A prequel from before Kratos got his ashes could be explored. But the story would likely revolve around an angry, warmonger slaughtering both enemies and innocents.
I never knew Zero Dawn and New Vegas had the same lead writer. The two games are so different in terms of tone and narrative.
Live Service games are too big of investment for most companies. Even the big game companies need to be more cautious investing in live service. We have seen how live service can cripple a studio or even take several studios to maintain.
I just finished South of Midnight. I think it’s a solid AA, even though the combat could have been a bit deeper. I love a cross-over between South of Midnight and Psychonauts.
