The randomness of the multiplayer characters is one of reason I quit playing COD after briefly returning in 2022. We got Space Marines, rappers, tree monsters etc. all in a series called “ Modern Warfare”.
Exactly, I don’t see MS going full third party unless they drop out of the console business.
I’m under the impression that the majority of Activision-Blizzard titles will be multi-platform. There is no point in making future COD and Overwatch exclusive as those titles are big live-service revenue generators. Additionally, Bethesda tiles such as: Doom, Elder Scrolls and Fallout will be multi-platform, as those franchises have been historically multi-platform. Xbox Studios titles, will likely be Xbox and PC only, with some smaller titles eventually being released on other platforms aft...
I don’t think the plan is to go full party. Just some titles will either remain multi-platform. While some other titles will be released on other consoles selectively.
I think a new Fallout game would have to developed outside of Bethesda. Obsidian would be a good candidate to develop a new Fallout, but that studio has its own projects underway.
No, Epic signed a development and publishing contract with Xbox for Gears of War. After Judgement Microsoft still had the Gears of War publishing rights. Epic then sold the Gears of War IP to Microsoft in 2014. Cliffy B never owned Gears of War, he was just a lead designer of the series.
Rest in peace, your work greatly impacted my childhood.
I want Macflarane to a do a Fallout Line comparable to what they are doing with 40k. I collect figures, I would love to have some 6-7 inch scale T-60, T-45 and T-51 to display in my living room.
I preordered the 7 inch Brotherhood of Steel member named Maximus because I love T-60 power armour. However, which McFarlane had went with 7 inch Power Armour figures and 6 inch scale human figures that were poseable.
Moon Studio had no choice. They do not own the Ori IP, Microsoft does.
Microsoft making some, key word SOME of its games available on other platforms is being over blown. Then again, we live in an era we’re
journalists focuses on sensationalism and promoting drama, instead of analysis and professional reporting.
Sony doesn’t develop Final Fantasy, which is something that should be obvious with the most basic of research.
Employee benefits from Microsoft are lost too. Not sure the benefit of going independent. Small gaming studios can live or die based on the performance of one project or a withdrawn development contract.
I surprised the studio didn’t simply transfer from under the Activision banner to Xbox Game Studios. While, Toys for Bob is going independent, they are immediately seeking a partnership with Microsoft, a company that briefly owned them.
Sony over invested in their GAAS initiatives. Traditionally single player focused studios were tasked with producing GAAS titles only for said projects to canceled after years of development. Not to mention over paying for Bungie, and letting Bungie a studio that was already missing targets oversee the projects of other studios. GAAS is why Sony hasn’t released as many titles as they normally do.
I have 65 inch LG C3. In Canada we I never came across any promotions comparable to this one [for any size of C3 TV], so the TV was pricey even when on sale. However, Series X, PS5 and 4K HDR video looks great on the C3.
I think the next Switch will still be two gens behind. I don’t see the Switch 2 being more powerful than the PS4 or XB1 due to production costs and the need to keep the system light weight.
There’s an article from a few day back that states that Penny’s Big Breakaway is multiplatform (Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch).
Fromsoft also doesn’t focus on top-tier, high fidelity graphics. Characters in their game are lower poly and don’t seem to use heavy motion and performance capture.
It’s good to see at least some of Embracer’s studios escaping its embrace of death. A company the size of Embracer was doomed to fail due to low revenue.
