If Microsoft exits, Sony will have only Nintendo as a competitor. It’s best that we have at least 3 companies competing in the home console space.
I seen a number videos about racism in Japan. Apparently, discrimination against darker skinned people( including darker skinned non-mixed Japanese), Africans, Indians, south Asians, Koreans, and Chinese is pretty common.
Red Dead and GTA have racist characters. The previously mentioned characters fit the setting and aren’t glorified.

WB games is probably losing a pretty penny on the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Legaue. Development for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice started in 2012 apparently, so I can imagine the budget for the game is pretty hefty.
When an Xbox titles review in the mid to high 80s, they are deemed terrible, overrated or labeled as “franchise killers” on this site .Yet when Sony exclusives get similar scores they are must plays that cannot be criticized.

Debrah Wilson has been in a lot of high profile games, such as: Gears 4 & 5 (multiplayer characters only), Gears Tactics, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Jedi Fallen Order & Jedi Survivor,Halo Infinite, GoW: Ragnarok etc. plus Suicide Squad. He also gets frequently performance captured.
I luckily, for me, I have a physical copy of Spec Ops: The Line. I used to be a very adamant collector and physical only buyer. However, due game discs missing essential data and own usage of subscription services, I have largely halted collecting games.
Undoing the merger will just cause ABK and Microsoft to cut more positions. Undoing the merger at this point will financially damage both companies. A more sensible thing would be to push MS and other game companies to have employee unions and increased job protections.
It’s sad to hear this news about Toy’s for Bob getting heavy layoffs. The studio did a great job developing the Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. I was Toy’s for Bob studio would be taken off COD support. Thus, allowing the studio to develop more Crash and Spyro titles.
The layoffs across MS’s gaming division were probably planned months ago by the company’s higher up. MS gained roughly 17,000 employees when it acquired Activision. So positions were unfortunately going to be cut after the ABK deal closed. I think game devs need to fight for more employee [or at least job] protections. Game companies like to mass contract and layoff workers with a sometimes frightening frequency.
It would be funny if gaming journalism became dated. Gaming journalism from the 1990s and 2000s was so much better than it is now.
It’s actually closing in on 5 years. I’m still surprised Gears 6 hasn’t been announced. However, the Coalition was rumoured to be working non-Gears projects.
The Series X enhanced versions of Gears 3 and Judgement can at times look like Xbox One titles.
CoD is usually right behind Fortnite on the most played lists of Xbox live and PSN. Fortnite has more players than its nearest competitors, or its players play substantially more. Another possibility is that Fortnite’s most hardcore players largely [or soley ]play just Fortnite.
Remedy’s titles have never really been big sellers. However, skipping Steam was likely a mistake. Steam despite having competition, is still the dominant PC digital store front.
