Please be true. I would most certainly buy this at launch as opposed to my standing plan to waiting a year or two.
Sony has shown a continued commitment to gamers by producing the most games and providing the best value for their subscription model. Compared to what MS has done, regarding increasing the value of their subscription service and providing exclusive first party content, any gamer should be able to clearly come to the conclusion that Sony is a game company that won't abandon the core gamer.
They will have an ending to the story, sure, but that definitely doesn't mean the end of Assassin's Creed.
I think all this flip flopping on everything makes the company look weak and lacking leadership and vision. They should have stuck to their guns if they truly believed in it. Maybe they would have struggled at launch but they should have thought long-term.
I'll never own an xbox regardless of which way they went, I just don't like MS.
I have been a longtime supporter of handheld games and systems, I love my 3ds and plan on getting a Vita at some point. But I also love mobile gaming. It has its own charm and doesnt need to directly compete with traditional handheld game experiences. I like the more bite-size approach that makes them enjoyable for even only a few minutes.
People who dismiss mobile games just truly aren't authentic gaming enthusiasts or really have no clue about what good games are out ...
It's called FAN SERVICE. Many of Bioshocks fans are happy to return to Rapture for some DLC.
There is no defeat to admit. Irrational has sold over 4m copies of Infinite making it (iirc) the best selling game of this year so far.
Uneducated consumers who think $100 means better console are just as likely to assume 4>1.
It will likely come down to price tbh for mainstream. I think the kinect gimmick has worn off for the casuals who bought into it, I doubt it will sell them as well a 2nd time around even if it will work better.
Sony has made giant strides with the gaming community late into this gen, who will be the early adopters and therefore influencers. No one can say for sure ...
Fish is no worse than the average person reacting to him on twitter or polytron's site, the comments directed at him are beyond reprehensible. It's clear to me that most people in Fish's position would be just as arrogant and hateful towards a community of assholes.

Say what you want about fish, but I am super bummed Fez 2 is cancelled as a result of all this. Fish hopefully will come to his senses and resume his work while removing himself from social media and gaming journalists.
Wow so that makes CoD this gen's masterpiece. Shame because if that's the best game out then clearly I have god-awful taste in games.

You are high if you think Sony, with the largest network of development studios in the world, will let their competition have more exclusive games on their platform.
Well it's better with regard to some things like mods, online capabilities, multiple screen setups, unique accessories, and game deals don't get much better than steam and gog. PC gaming can become more immersive than console gaming if you go whole-hog with it.
But I agree in general, the fun-factor of a game doesn't change platform to platform (unless you consider certain mods). There is something to be said for the convenience and economy of a console.

Yeah that's how I did it.. I wasn't too low on health and just wanted to see if he actually would attack.. he didn't. Just got right in his face.. nothing happened... so proceeded to grab his scalpel and jam it into his face.
Unlike most people I didn't bother with the others.. no way they were going to try anything after that.

If digital were $10 cheaper, that ALONE would make many people switch. And honestly, it SHOULD be $10 cheaper.. we aren't stupid, we know it's cheaper to provide a download than it is to produce/ship/store a physical disc and mark it up for retail!

Been on the fence about buying this lately, because it's been around $20 on amazon for awhile, not because I wasn't sure if I would like it but because my backlog doesn't need to get larger. Guess I don't need to fight it anymore haha
