Really looking forward to this one
7.5 is certainly not a high score and its as disappointing as getting a C on a test that you should have aced.
Yep, I ordered yesterday, couldn't resist despite having GoW:A to plow through before Bioshock Infinite next week...
Someone clearly hasn't played Tomb Raider...
And since when do people choose smartphones based on what dime a dozen games it has?
Consoles aren't defined by their architecture. They are simply machines designed to play games (primarily anyway) on a TV.
:(
Too bad. The Layton games are gold.
It's not black and white. Microtransactions are fine when done appropriately. The line is crossed when they are almost essential to progressing beyond a certain part of a game.
Uncharted, MarioKart, NSMB and GeoW do not belong on this list.
Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed are the worst offenders.
How about some Xenoblade Chronicles?
So true.. you don't need to buy any resources to make anything. It's more like a "cheat" option. You need to pay to cheat.
People need to relax about microtransactions. If they are completely optional and don't detract from the experience by ignoring them, then what is the harm?
Dead Space 2 was far from lackluster. 3 also.. it may not be the same level of "wow" as DS1 or 2 but it's far from being mediocre. I'm quite enjoying it.
Still I'm not sad to see the series end.
That score seems a bit out of touch with reality. Most reviews are around an 8.
From what I've been reading in other reviews
Pros: Combat, Graphics/3D effect
Cons: Platforming, music, doesn't follow Castleroid formula
Any self respecting gamer has an embarrassing backlog!
Probably More Of The Same But That Isn't A Bad Thing
I guess I only managed to buy the great ones; ICO/SotC, GoW, Sly, Ratchet and Clank, Jak, and MGS.
I've literally played hundreds of DS games and can confidently say touch screens controls when correctly implemented alongside traditional controls allow for a higher degree of precision.
holy crap thats absurd. fun game but I would never spend any $ on those magic stones.. seem way overpriced.
Its called time.
Give it some time.
The ps3 didn't start rocking until mid to late 2009.
Better example perhaps is the 3ds, it started off awfully weak but is now shaping up to be more than a worthy successor to the sublimely awesome DS. Systems dont become must-own overnight.
I've been playing Luigi's Mansion the last couple days and I am having a blast with it. Definitely a worthy successor and feels like a great fit for the 3ds.
