people tend to think of 0-100 percentages based on schooling. 70% is average in school. 50% is worse than bad. That's why most good games score above an 8. Not many people consider a 70% test score "good".

These staff writers don't seem to have played many mobile games. The only respectable pick in that list is The Room.
I think the point is a couple years of losses is nothing that points to doom for Nintendo. They could quite easily turn their fortunes around, and even if it takes a few more years.

Dead Space 3 was one the most underrated game this gen.
Went from an 89% meta for 1 and 2 to a 75% meta for 3. Was it as good as the first 2? No, but it was still fun as hell and the microtransactions which everyone lamented could be entirely ignored. I'd give the first 2 games a 9.5 and 3 an 8.5.
DLC is a good and bad thing, unfortunately the big pubs exploit it, either by locking content that's on the disc or cutting already created content to be saved as DLC. IMO DLC should be content that's worked on ONLY after the product is fully finished, and should be something like a side-story.
An example of GOOD DLC is The Last of Us.
Everytime I see old people sitting around looking sad just watching TV with a blank expression on their face I think to myself, if only these people were into video games they would live out their golden years with a lot less boredom...

There is no point to saying a popular and successful game is overrated other than to incite malcontent from the game's fans.
You could just leave it at "amazing game."
ehh.... I love this game but it's not really like Diablo that much except that it's an action rppg with randomly generated dungeons. but wayward souls is a roguelike while diablo has almost no penalty for death (unless you're an insane hardcore player with perm-death.)
in wayward souls you can unlock some passive perks by spending in game gold, and upgrade your weapon and 2 skills which last for the length of the dungeon or when you die. it's also imperative...
