Yea, competition is good. When it's done right. Then you have anti-trust and other bad types of competition that harm the markets. It's one thing to compete with someone in a race, it's another thing to trip or push them into a fence when they start to pass.
Please look at the industry closely and pay close attention all aspects of the competition because, not everything is beneficial.

The solid snake caught my eye. booth babes? I thought that snake was a guy. Anyway, this video operator wasn't the least bit shy. He/she made sure to do a few and pans closeups that where outside standard face shots. There where some boobs, butts and legs recorded in this mix.
I've noticed most of the games have been created first in japan then shipped to the US, followed by EU launches. A lot of times (especially JRPGs) the English versions have content such as voice removed.
I recently played Tales of The Abyss and found out all the skits in the Japanese version had full voice overs. The english versions had only text with picture boxes.

I noticed another game being demoed to the > right of Adam. Why would that game be running?
My guess is it was an indirect sponsorship plug or something. Why else would it be so obviously placed in this shot. It takes up at least 1/8th of the video shot. At times Adam leans into the uncharted picture to show more of the 2nd screen. This is to much to be excused as mere coincidence.

They spent a large sum of money for more studios. With all those extra studios it was obvious that they'd need to cut fat somewhere. I assume that they don't need multiples of some jobs and want to cut back on redundancy.

Even without all the data the list didn't need gray boxes for every icon. In this the only one that has a box is the currently selected portion.
