When I contacted Sony and explained the situation the guy I spoke to said it's the developers choice to lock the saves.

I started thinking why would Sony allow the developers to do this? Wouldn't it hurt the customer and possibly cause the user to avoid choosing their console for the game?

Seems like they might be planning a premium service. I also heard you could transfer these saves to another console with the new 3.15 transfer feature using a direct network conne...

I just wish there was some way to protect my 100+ hours of play from my system failing. This is one of those games that I enjoyed but learned it was save data protected. To bad if my system messes up all that work will be lost. T.T

I'll set my worlds all white again if I get a chance and don't forget. I also hear a rumor that we could set all worlds to pure black simply setting the PS3 date to October 31 and loading up in single player.

I highly Doubt that trick work...

If it does they've already lost a customer.

If you buy a game and they lock the saves it shouldn't be your problem when the system loses data, especially when they lock the save data content. That's your blood sweet and tears in that data. Just because they own the copy writes shouldn't give them to block the owner from using it legally.

As far as I'm concerned this transfer feature is a failure in it's current state. Until they find a way to protect both the developer and the saves the way they want they're only hurting ...

Sony should allow the players to store protected and other saves online for free. At least give the users a few hundred megabytes free.

These protected saves are an abuse of the PS3 security features on a PS3. If i had my way every game reviewed would have it's rating lowered a few points just for having protected saves.

No matter how awesome a game is. If the company makes an effort to ruin the users experience with c-blocking them from backing up their works the pr...

I'm still bitter about the inability to backup protected saves. I think all games that do this should be be criticized by reviewers. Never in the history of gaming has this been an issue before the PS3.

Until they do something to allow protected game saves to be backed up online or whatever Sony is isn't doing enough to make my earned experience a present one.

I don't know whats with this gen but there are fanatics everywhere. I know it's a popular game but people should at least wait for reviews.

It's sad when you put money into a game and find out it's a buggy, glitchy and programmed badly. Just go's to show you how big the hype factor can be.

There is a hooker pub in denerum (sp) called the pearl. Pay coin and you can sleep with anything you're interested in lol.

So the game doesn't discriminate, whoopty do the people complaining need to look at the rating it says *mature*. They need not worry about stuff that doesn't effect them. It'd be one thing if it was manditory at school but for the love of all that's holy it's a darn game that people can choose to play their own way.

Infinite Dragon armor.

I simply placed the dragon scale in my Wardens keep chest after unlocking the quest. Ran to the NPc that crafts it. Made the armor then ran back to the keep and swapped the scale back out and into the storage chest causing the quest to reactivate. Each time I ran back he's make another full set of that awesome gear. Could probability sale the scale and buy it back over and over if you have the gil but that wouldn't be free.

As long as the scale...

I'd like to have a device that you could attach to you someplace like the shoulder wrist or neck that would act like a body battery. One that would burn calories and generate power without physical effort. That would be a dream device if it was small and self contained.

Would also be a great diet device and be a green energy.

The funny think about radiation is everything electronic and even the human body create it. It's only bad in high concentration or over exposu...

Shouldn't or wouldn't it be better to change the name to Forever Fantasy?

Forever Fantasy or even Fantasy Forever. ^.`

I just beat this game and liked the ending. The problem I had was the fact that saves are locked.

If we get to transfer characters etc. this is gonna upset me a lot when or if I lose my game save because these silly protected saves. There is no reason to block the game saves if they're encrypted and linked to our PSN accounts on PS3.

If they're gonna lock files they should at least create a way to back them up either online or to a device. The PS3 system backup is ...

If that was true then the 60gb models would still be selling in stores.

You can't find those new unless your willing to part with a large chunk of cash. You suggest solving the problem on using the general populations interest. It doesn't mean that everyone thinks the same or they deserve no compromise. Forcing a one sided option on others isn't going to change anything.

The truth is there is an alternative option that would satisfy everyone. Why ignore it?

I have my PS2 hooked up. In fact I have 2 of them there are 4 ps2's in this house alive and kicking. 2 of which are launch models that have over 10,000 hours of game time on them. The PS3 is hooked up so I can duel box.

(But that's another story.)

The problem is the new PS2's don't support the online game I play and I refuse to use a 360 (360 Locks the account my gamer tag) or PC (a bunch of BS to setup and maintain). I Know the systems aren't going to last forever t...

Why can't we have both?

It's not as complex a problem as everyone complains about.

Simple solution is stop making the basic models that have just a different HDD size and release 2 models.

One with all the cool stuff for the $399
and one with the stripped hardware for $299.

That's how to satisfy everyone. Simply removing everything then releasing the same models with different HDD sizes makes it seem like Sony thinks the customer is st...

When PS3 was launched it wasn't in the in crowd. Xbox 360 already was on the market a full year was cheaper for the base system and pulled in a lot of new people who where playstation owners.

Not everyone is rabid at choosing hardware brands. Some people just look for whats next and what the in crowd are buying. If you look at TV shows or experienced attitudes at colleges and schools you'll see that most follow a trend. These are the core buyers of gaming at least back then befor...

They've started copy protecting their saves and it's hurting gamers. Seriously this guy needs to look at how unfriendly some of their busyness practices are. No console last forever and it's one thing to restore a bad save it's another to lose one that can't be restored.

I paid about $130 for all the dragon age packs and expansions on the ps3 only to find out that the game has a lot of bugs and can't be backed up to be restored to another PS3. If my PS3 breaks I can't migrate my ...

When I was younger I saw a sale for 50% off at a store and told my dad. "look a 50% off sale". He replied, something like "be careful about sales, they sometimes raise the prices 75% then put items on sale" He then said "Some people don't realize the original price was raised and are tricked into thinking they're getting a good deal."

After reading this, seeing the prices where increased then placed on sale for more or the same price I'm reminded of ...

It'll lag almost freeze when fighting large bosses after the kill the game go's into super slow motion to show the killing blows.

Spawning enemies that appear out of now where can lag bad. If your ally is a ranger summoning a pet this is every time they enter combat or the pet dies. Also being hit with large AOE's it slows to a crawl.

Limited command options for action based fighting. Yea you can set the game to hold like a turn based RPG although I've never tried th...

I used to play games on an NES with my sisters BF. Once day he was playing and sh got upset at time and they started yelling at each other over is gaming habits. The argument ended with him pulling out a baseball bat and beating the crap out of his NES yelling.

"IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT?"

He beat the crazy out of the NES is was in pieces. Oddly it still ran fine. The next day he took it back to the store and told them he got it as a gift and this is what it wa...
