I can't believe that this article is comparing screens to make a point. The truth is that Sigma is running at 1080P at a solid 60 FPS. Even when black was upscaled to 720P on the 360, it still did not look as good as Sigma in motion and for some reason the upscaled 360 game looked a little washed out on my LCD. It looked nothing like those screens of the hi-res version of Black.
How a game like Halo can sell millions on one platform (Xbox -> Halo and Halo 2) and then become the "standard" for first person shooters across all platforms? OK, the argument is that Halo is above average on all aspects of a first person shooter. Halo filled a need for Xbox fans at that point in time ... its why it sold millions. The controller is too darn heavy. You don't realize the weight of the controller until you got through with using the Sixaxis or the Dual Shock 2. Too bulky in my opinion but it is ergonomic. The D pad is the worst however. Two negative points.
I agree with having the triggers for the 360. Definite plus point.
Overall I think the Dual Shock 2 is the best controller of all time.

My job is work with analysts in the hedge fund space (software side). Some of them cover tech stocks that span the entertainment sector. Some of them know alot about this industry. Others are just plain out of the loop. Of the 3 consoles only the Wii has been profitable since day one. Ultimately its the console with the best support that wins.

Well, the 360 tried that with hardware upscale and what happened there? I would love to play more Xbox games on my 360 (I'm still waiting to play NFL 2K5). Anyway the games were built for naitive 480i/p so its going to have that stretch look.

Oh, 2 PS3 rumbles = 2 years of XBL. You are right ... but 2 PS3 Rumbles + (theoretical cost of a PSN service if costing 50/year) > 2 years of XBL. The problem is that there is not cost for PSN network so it equalizes. Also, you are comparing peripheral cost versus service cost. Two different things man but I just thought I'd have a little fun with math.
so I just flat out disabled it. Not sure if you want to do that but I have the firewall already enabled on my router.
I had to enable specific UDP ports on my firewall. This could be the reason why although media player sees the PS3 as 'Unknown Device' you can't see the media within the XMB.
If media player can't see your PS3, make sure that you have enabled the media streaming functionality within Networking Settings.
Haven't tried any of this yet ... but I'm sure its not rocket science. There are only a set number of requirements for multi-media streaming ... just have to ge...

Stop throwing the $$$ issue. Heck, if I could afford the PS3, I can sure as hell afford the $100.00 for two rumble controllers. If people want to pay that price for Rumble + Motion Control then they will. If I really wanted to dish out $180.00 for an HD upgrade for my Premium, then I will.
what Assasin's Creed premise is or what the gameplay (overall) will be like. We have still much to learn about this new SC game. According to trailers, it looks like the modern day version of Assasin's Creed ... but thats all we know now.
