that I agree with you Bladestar but you are right. MS does not lose in this situation. Do they receive a nice little stinger? I would say yes. The HD-DVD sold well early on and it was one of the few HD-DVD devices that people could afford at that time. It was the reason why I got mine. Its easy for people to make that 360 + HD DVD connection. PS3 + Blu Ray <> 360 + HD DVD will never end until MS puts out a Blu Ray attachment.
As gamers transition from PS2 to PS3 .... its nice knowing that I'll still get my PS2-like fix through the PSP. God of War, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Daxter, Rachet, etc.... They will need more games like Loco to appeal to the Jap market though.
they can successfully transfer the gameplay to the 3D space. I've enjoyed King of Fighters ... but I don't know if they can get this working in 3D. Its like taking Street Fighter and making a 3D game out of it. We've seen the results of past attempts.
But the Japs love the gimics. They love Pokemon, they love whacky names (Wii?), and they love Miyamoto. No doubt that the Wii and DSLite bring something new and fresh to the table but even fresh food gets stale. Considering the lack of software for the PS3 now, the Wii should be selling 200K.
and enjoy more 'realistic' fighting than VF5 will win hands down. I'm just comparing the fight mechanics. With VF4, they went back to their roots and VF5 is a major visual upgrade from VF4.
The DOA series has been about over-the-top fighting with major reversals. Couple that with large interactive backgrounds and you have a completely different fighter than the VF series.
Admire the comparison ... but two totally different fighting games. Also , I agree with ...
a visual of what you just said. Yoga Fiiiree ... Yoga Fiiireee!
take it or leave...
my wife and I will try this out ... seems cool ;) You gotta keep things interesting in a relationship. Videogames leading to sex ... not bad.
movie came out so the game had to come out. They could have at least put a locked in frame rate for the next-gen versions.
if so Deep ... you better invite me!
Those posting are speculating on what could be the reason why its technically not feasible on the PS3. Show me your engineering degrees please. I'll give credit where credit is due but this is such a blatant PR add. To see things are not attainable on a rival platform without specifying what is the problem is suspicious. People should have seen the alarm bells go off just like Feral posted above. At least we got a reason out of Factor 5 and a reason out of Kojima although in my honest op...
for your comments. There is a difference between saying that it could NOT be possible at ALL and NOT be possible in its CURRENT state. There is also a difference between 'doubt' and 'impossible'. Anyone that says I 'doubt' it can be done or I 'think' it can be done increases the risk of being made to look like a fool in the end. Now, if they say it CAN'T be done on the PS3, tell me why ....
Its profitability before expansion. Its quite possible to expand before making profits but its very difficult. It started late in the cycle for the original Xbox. I saw this coming once they bought up studios like Lionhead.
your comments concern me ...
make an observation and people disagree with your observations. You can say the sky is blue and people will disagree with you.
To stay on-topic, I am liking it. Hair aside, I hope Ubisoft really exploits the power of the 360 and makes a potential (confirmed?) exclusive to the 360.
Its the store they are referring too and thats why its irrelevant when you mentioned that its NOT the multiplayer player service. All 8+ comments before you mentioned nothing about the multiplayer service but a hope that they will keep improving the service. Stick to the topic and leave your negativity to another post that talks about the multiplayer aspect of the service....
Like he got Snakes hair and the game inherited Assasin's Creed engine.
look at that half-hearted smile. Stone cold underneath...
Hasn't Brain Age sold enough ... geez! Never content and always looking at that bottom line. No wonder why they sold the Wii at $250.00 a pop and profit from day one. Keep talking Iwata, we see through you ;)
Can you describe minor differences while you are at it too?
I will not sell my HD DVD player. Never know, might be worth something someday.
<EDIT> ... was trying to reply to SuperSaiyan4
