this is all expected. price cut of 360 + release of Halo 3. You will see this change after the Tokyo Game Show probably prompting MS to cut the price again of the 360.
This is the intent of any IPO offering. RAISE CASH!! If Sony is going to cut the price of the PS3, it will need to raise cash in order to offset loss per unit sold. I don't think it will offset loss completely but it will at least lessen the blow.
Just stop ... Concentrate on Lair 2 and maybe a new Rogue Squadron game. The reality is that motion sensing only worked in certain situations in Lair. I believe that this technology was overused to a point where I felt it was being forced on me. I still love the game and mastered the controls. I don't understand what 2 weeks will give you. If it was delayed a month, maybe. 2-3 weeks of extra dev time + 1 week of shipping preperation. 2 weeks will do what?
but they do not look like Forza. Comparing them is inevitable but even GT HD (not GT5 Prologue) looked better than Forza 2. Having watched the launch of Forza 2 on gameplay HD made me realize why the graphics took such a hit with Forza 2. Its not going to parallel GT graphics so please save yourself the unecessary posts.
although not in-game. regardless of the graphics being in-game or not, its still impressive nevertheless and truly demonstrates the PS3's ability to break the reality barrier.
With PSP2, what's the format going to be? UMD again? I think a big seller for handhelds is the ability to play older games. So for PSP2, it'll need to play PSP games. This basically guarantees that the format for PSP2 is going to be UMD. I think that Sony will in the long term phase out of format distribution and go to e-distribution. It does need to setup the framework for this and that's where the Playstation network comes in.
what I don't see is a mention of a card reader .. I just took a quick glance at it. Let me know if I'm mistaken here. Something has to be taken out to reduce the price.

I'm willing to bet that alot of people would buy a PS3 over a 360 but are detracted over price. It'll be Xbox versus PS2 all over again.
needs to happen in order to be competitive with the 360. Will it lack Wifi and card reader capabilities, sure. Will it have limited backwards compatibility, sure. Will it be $399.99, sure.
I'd buy a second PS3 also and I'd buy one for my brother for Christmas. Not to one up you or anythig drtysouf21 ;)

It should not be a surprise to everyone about the 360 sales in August. It should not be a surprise when the September sales are out. The 360 will push above 325,000 units next month and the PS3 will be at around 200,000. I'd call it a win if it pushes more than 225,000.
I believe Sony is expecting these numbers given that the machine is still at a $500 price-point. If the 360 outsells PS3 3-to-1 in September and October, expect a price drop in November ala iPhone.
they look like PS2 shots ... in fact the PS2 shots look better than PS3 shots. Reference IGN or Gamespot for true next gen shots.
