Its released but no advertising. Maybe its because I don't watch much TV but I haven't seen a commercial yet. Sony should put some efforts behind this and Uncharted.
This is the 2nd attempt on the 360 and first on the PS3. PES has not hit the next generation in my humble opinion. Looks like they chose the quick cash cow EA approach to releasing sports titles.

Gameinformer all the way. Halo 3 would never get a score below 9.0 as fanboys would burn the EGM offices in revolt. Halo 3 is not perfect. 10 for a next gen game running at 640p would automatically get a .5 to 1.0 deduction.
I think its a solid game that scored a 9.0 because its another Rachet game. Its a platformer and a good one at that but the Rachet formula is a tried, tested, and approved franchise. I'm already looking forward to a sequel and how Insomniac will push the genre further. This is a good entry title.
First, I don't think it was Jade Raymond that made the call regarding his comments. She's a producer of the game. It had to come from someone higher up.
It could be very well possible that certain things were cut out or downgraded to fit onto a single DVD. It is VERY possible that could have happened.
Just because I didn't unwrap it doesn't mean that I haven't played it.
These 2 titles alone will define the PS3's longevity. What else do you need? Halo? No thanks. I bought the game and its still in its shrink wrap.
I trust capcom to make a decent port of Lost Planet. I question the decision however to bring the title this late into the game. By now, prelim work of LP2 have already begin. I don't trust any sales site. I don't even trust the NPD on monthly sales since its still the estimate.
The 360 did much better than I expected and the PS3 did as I expected. September was going to be a bad month for PS3 fans. I think Sony expected this. It seems that Sony has had the 40 GB track in mind for months now and didn't wait for monthly sales figures for September to act.

Who made the genius decision of a Star Wars PSP pack. Granted, its a wonderful franchise but is the game any good? I'd love a GT pack or a GOW pack. Give a nice videogame franchise that will the system. If I were SCEA, I would not expect it to sell like the Final Fantasy PSP in Japan.
Give Marvel vs. Capcom or Xmen vs. StreetFighter. Give me some King of Fighters. Bring Street Fighter HD to the PSP with cross platform play (PSP/PS3). Give me a new Castlevania. Give me a new Sonic in 2D and let me play on that nice wide screen. God of War will help but I'd love to play an updated Golden Axe. Exclusives are key as seen by the response to Crisis Core. An exclusive GTA game would be nice using a dumbed down version of the GTAIV engine.

I think the dip will be lower than 300,000. The obvious pike in 360 sales were attributed to price drop + Halo 3. The 360 will have to deal with a 2 front attack from Sony. 1st is the gamer who will buy a PS3 at a cheaper price point. 2nd is the HD enthusiast that is buying the PS3 has a cheaper Blue Ray player that also happens to be a game console. The US 399.99 model won't hit until November so the 360 will still sell due to the post Halo 3 effect.

Its only going to be more evident in the future games the 'graphical divide' that will be created between PS3 and 360 games.
Believe you me that the final release of GT5 will set the graphical benchmark for racing simulators if not already through Prologue.
