Mass Effect 2 and Alan Wake are two of my most anticipated games and they are going to be epic.

Those saying that it is running on the same engine and implying that that makes it not worth buying are being absurd.

Most sequels run on the same engine as their predecessors. Uncharted 2 runs on the same engine as Uncharted, Assassin's Creed 2 same as part 1, and on and on...

It has always been about adding new content, new gameplay mechanics, new environements, etc., all of which Left 4 Dead 2 offers. It also has seen some improvements to the engine. If you guy...

I own both consoles and although some here might know I prefer my 360, I call things as I see them. And I think the beta of the multiplayer mode in Uncharted 2 is actually very good. I have a blast with it and don't see any significant problems. Besides, we all know Uncharted is always going to be first and foremost about awesome story telling and a roller coaster ride of a single player campaign. Anything else is just a bonus.

Actually, I disagree. The Last Guardian looks gorgeous, but until I see actual gameplay footage of the character running around doing normal stuff it makes no sense to compare it. The engine seems impressive and the artistic merit is strong, but so much is still unknown at this point (one of my most anticipated games by the way).

GT5 is in the same boat. None of the trailers I have seen for the game show what I would call pure gameplay and so you can't judge it yet. All I kno...

@ Sarcasm

The point is, a couple of exclusives that arguably look a little better than the best 360 games is not enough to ignore what actual engineers and developers are telling us. It also isn't enough to just ignore the fact that over 90% of multiplatform games look and/or perform better on the 360. If the PS3 really were more powerful than the 360, that should not be happening, period.

The other problem is you guys list a bunch of games that nobody, but you, th...

If after two and a half years multiplatform games are still looking/performing better on the 360 there is no way in hell that the PS3 is more powerful. If it was anywhere near as powerful as the PS3 fanboys build it up to be it should EASILY be able to show better performance on multiplatform titles.

The vast majority of PS3 exclusives are no better looking either. Only two exclusives could arguably be considered to look marginally better than what's on the 360 (Uncharted and K...

Anti-aliasing is extremely important. I hate jaggies and I can't wait until next generation when the anti-aliasing is much better. Texture resolution and detail is also extremely important.

That is part of the reason I tend to buy most of my multiplatform games for the 360. I was sick of seeing every PS3 multiplatform game I looked at having worse aliasing, lower texture resolution, missing effects, more screen tearing, slower frame rate, and fuzzier image quality than the 360...

That doesn't change the fact that the 360 does have a much larger selection of exclusives and multiplatform games.

The way you claimed it only had 3 exclusives revealed you to be a fanboy, whether you bought a 360 or not. I prefer my 360 a little bit above my PS3, but I would never say something as ridiculous as "the PS3 only has 3 exclusives" or "the PS3 has bad graphics". Yet that is exactly what you said about the 360, even though neither of those thing...

Did you even read the article. The blogger didn't even have anything to substantiate his claims. Bare assertions and stupid assumptions is all we got with this article.

No, Milo isn't a sentient AI and there is no basis to call it smoke and mirrors just because it doesn't live up to your fantastical expectations. Milo does exactly what it was designed to do, which is to create the illusion of being able to hold a real conversation with a computer character. Of course it is al...

@GIJeff

You're so full of it.

Newer 360s are as quiet as the PS3. In fact, my friend's 360 is actually quieter than my PS3. My 360 is a hair louder than my PS3, but not enough to make much of a difference.

Bad graphics? Sure buddy. I have both machines and if you want to know the truth, the 360 actually tends to have the better graphics on most games. Many of the PS3 exclusives are nice-looking, but not really any better than the better-looking 360 ...

Forza 3 truly is shaping up to be one of the best, if not the best, racing sims available on any console. I expect that GT5 will be amazing as well and I will probably be playing them both.

How about reading some more specific explanations by actual developers, instead of vague comments by publishing execs about maxing out a particular console.
Read this, for example: http://www.gamedaily.com/ar...

And here is what John Carmack says about the two platforms:

You guys are silly. Left 4 Dead 2 contains as much content and improvements as any sequel should.

I am going to buy it and enjoy it. You guys do what you want.

I think the graphics in Left 4 Dead are just fine. Certainly good enough to present the game well and allow users to have fun. That is what games are about--fun. Remember?

Graphics matter, but judging by the trailer the graphics have been spruced up and the graphics weren't bad to begin with. When the difference in graphics is like between the Wii and the 360 or PS3, then yes it can have a noticeable impact. But when the difference is relatively minor like between Left 4 Dea...

Well, I never bashed Sony or Guerrilla for showing CGI videos. I didn't really think it was a big deal. Lot's of companies do that and Sony does it perhaps more than anybody. So I really wasn't surprised, nor fooled by it.

The thing is though, that these two situations are very different. Sony showed amazing footage of KZ2 and told everyone it was real-time gameplay. And they didn't invite members of the press to come check it out later to prove that it was indeed an actual ...

You Sony fanboys just don't get it. You pretend that Natal is the same thing as Eye Toy or the Wii motion controls and then bash it on that assumption.

The thing is, you're utterly wrong. Natal does a whole host of things that aren't possible at all with the older technologies. Why would a company like 3DV Systems spend loads of money in research to develop accurate 3d motion tracking technology if it had already been done before? Why would Microsoft spend the money to buy...

Wow, all the same lame PS3 fans with their spin and damage control. Natal is nothing but Eye Toy, the media is biased, blah, blah, blah...

At this point they're just making themselves look pathetic and stupid.

If they really didn't see the 360 as a threat there wouldn't be a deluge of PS3 fanboys hurriedly posting their nonsense in every news story on the subject.

Forza 3 is looking great. You can tell they have put a lot of work into the game and he did a really good job explaining the new features. This is going to be a huge game this holiday.

I thought it was a pretty good show. I don't always agree with him, but he has a passion for games and he mostly knows what he is talking about. His shows are interesting anyway.
