I'll take the GT5 car pron thanks ;)

It hasn't disappointed me and I had very high expectations. In fact I think it's managed to be better than I expected on many levels.
But, forget the eye candy, the best thing about GT5 is the way it drives - it feels wonderful and is a subtle but noticeable improvement over the TT app from January.
No one should be disappointed with GT5 (apart from people with an axe to grind - they can be disappointed it is this good) - it is a big evolution over th...
Most people who pre-ordered online got the game today - I think these openings are a bit of a pointless activity now.
r.
If you had the game - you'd know the servers are flooded right now.
I know this since 20 mins ago I was in a race ;)
r.
Marketing for GT5? Why bother, this ain't yet another FPS - it's G.T.5
That's enough - particularly when it's this good.

On the basis of my 9 hours today - best racing game available on console right now.
iRacing still wins in terms of pure simulation of driving and easy league racing - pretty much everything else is better in GT5.

Game is out now - the best reviews will come from users.
I've played it for ... <checks watch> .... about 9 hours today and I've barely scratched the surface of all the cool stuff there is to do.
Really, the game is a triumph and the online elements seem to be running very well now after the earlier hick-up.
I don't really see how a reviewer can have a credible review up this week - the game is simply too deep, and the onlin...
Don't matter now - GT5 is here. The graphics are glorious, but they are not the best part of the game!!!
Excellent handling and physics, incredible amount of stuff to do and the online is working extremely well now which is pretty impressive by itself for such a big game on launch.
r.
Online is fine now.... In fact that's not right, online is better than fine, it's amazing.
Launch day, lots of folks online and, well, it's not only working but it works amazingly well!
PD have proved Japanese developers can do online.

true - i just signed out of psn and carried on :0

Thanks man - I do know, was just trying to make a point about the poor journalistic practice of gamespot (although they're far from the only site that does a disservice to the gaming community).
I'll try and be more obvious in future :)

^^ This is a lame dupe.
r.
You get a ban for dupe approval but I guess someone has to spot it first. So maybe the approvers of this will get banned.
r.
Jesus Christ!!!! another duplicate - we just had this same thing earlier.
Yes it's 10Gbs, yes it's optional, yes it takes 40-50mins at the start and yes, if you don't want to wait just play the game and the 10Gb install happens as you play.

Weird - I watched the Gamespot Live preview earlier and the guy quite clearly said that he knew of no custom music function and was unable to find it in the menu....
I don't know who to believe - is the SCEA man with all his inside information lying? Or is it that the "professional" Gamespot (p)reviewer is woefully misinformed about a game he's going to publish a review for in 1 day?
r.
That shouldn't be the case but after the Gamespot Live preview today, I think a lot of reviewers are going to be very badly misinformed, that'll lead to bad (and rushed) reviews and that will make a lot of people very upset indeed.
Particularly when the online side of things is being activated at release time - I don't see how any credible reviews can be published this week as a result.
There's also a cryptic comment about features still to be...
The game does support external mods like aero/body kits, rims, exhausts blah blah.

Hmmm. I find that somewhat offensive.... Halo movie compared with a historically accurate account of some men who suffered and in some cases gave their lives during a major conflict.

And the Lord said "Let there be Light", and there was GT5.
r.
This, GT5, LBP2 soon - Sony is putting out some great stuff right now.
Nice time to be a gamer I'd say.
