As I watched the bridge sequence, I put the video in mute and listened to Zack Hemsey's Mind Heist in the background. Worked better than well. I think Remedy could do something with the music to make it more exciting or mind-bending when going through the stutters.

I'm not new to this "going out thing". I'm an artist and practice nature photography, and dare I say, am quite a bit more informed with these issues than your average Joe.
Your flashlight example is poor. The issue with Driveclub is that the lack of details are evident even in *daylight*. That is not true with human vision.
The truth is that the dynamic range, meaning the range of light we are able to see wi...
To the people who disagreed with me: care to explain your reasoning?
I made a case and it also happens to be true: the dynamic range in Driveclub is narrower than what we see in real life.
I'm guessing that the developers used normal photos as reference for what the game should look like. That can be a bad thing, because as I explained, it often results in narrow dynamic range.
Take a look at this video of Driveclub:

Enemy: I agree with Driveclub being most PHOTOrealistic racer thus far - but I'm not sure that's a positive thing. You see, when you take a video or a photo and view it on a computer screen or TV, the dynamic area of light in that "photorealistic photo or video" is very narrow compared to what we see in real life. That is why HDR or High Dynamic Range imaging was invented and why it has found it's way to films and games.
Let's see one of your example...
I actually think the art style/design in the 3DS version is more inspiring than what we saw in Brawl. Reminds me a bit of the glory days of the SNES Donkey Kong games.
My top 5 would be...
1) SNES 2) NES 3) Wii 4) GBC 5) N64
I agee with you. Wii was a great console, truly a breath of fresh air. I still think Nintendo could have made Wii a more powerful HD console to directly compete with PS3 and X360 in terms of graphics, getting more 3rd party games and even making more money than what they ended up making.
In the end, it all comes down to the games and there were some awesome gaming experiences like...
-Metroid Prime 3 - the most immersive FPS controls I've tried.

If you haven't seen the Quantum Break gameplay yet but intend to see it, I recommend watching the video on Remedy's own channel for best quality: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
The trailer is pretty good but it could have featured some kick ass music to go along with the surreal action. I'm talking about something along the lines of Mona Lisa Overdrive instead of the simplistic percussion...
Most of the Wiis had been gathering dust for a long time so the name is not exactly good to use. Not saying that the Wii was a bad system (I liked it) but that I know many casuals who stopped playing it after a couple of months.
They should have opted for a unique console name like they have done with all of the previous consoles.
Mmmm... I wouldn't say it's one of the best looking games this gen. But it's probably one of the best value or the best value buy one can get for PS4 if one hasn't played the PS3 version.
I just like to know 100% sure that I'm buying a game with no framerate issues or compatibility problems. I also like to play on couch with a huge screen. And I like to dedicate the hard-drive of my PC to my non-gaming stuff. That's why I prefer consoles over PC when it comes to big and complex games.
There is a gigantic pile of great games of the past that could have been released on a before-gen console with downgraded graphics. As for No Man's Sky, I'm pretty sure it could have been released on PS3.
FALCO PUNCH!!!!! Non-alcoholic, with a cherry please.
Chuck Norris hasn't been announced either. This game will bomb.
Game theory? Funny coincidence, I'm actually studying a game theory course this summer (the mathematical one).
So, to sum up, the most popular gaming character ever is a mushroom eating Italian plumber born in Japan who looks like a Mexican, and is willing to fight against anyone, including himself, while dressed in the US flag colors.
1:25 "His preferred place to be is up in the air, kind of away from the hunters, you know, throwing lightning bolts, throwing lightning attacks and all these kind of ranged attacks to, you know... ...to... mess their shit up." lol
It looked to me that he had been smoking some good thing before the presentation.
Yeah, I think survival horror is very well suited for VR.
That's Sam Lake you're talking about so show some respect kiddo :D
He borrowed his face, the legendary "constipated" expression as he himself refers it, to Max Payne.
