Naughty Dog were framed! Remember when Remedy visited Naughty Dog earlier this week? I bet they placed the painting in the game during the visit...

@Ultranova Yeah, Monarch Solutions is gonna hold on tight to Remedy.

Yeah, this news came back from the dead.

A glitch in the submission system?

I learned something too. I had known the meaning of the phrase for some time but I actually only just a couple of minutes ago learned where the phrase originates.

From Urbandictionary.com:

"The term itself comes from the old practice of recordable CDs being manufactured with gold film. Hence the gold colored CD actually being the source, with no reference to copies sold as in the recording industry."

It means that the game has finished development and is ready for replication and distribution.

Here's hoping that Microsoft has done good job with Windows 10 authentification system to prevent piracy of the PC version. Remedy (and other developers) needs all the money it deserves legally, the investment to Quantum Break has been huge.

Here in my home country one can get Xbox One + FIFA 16 + Ori and the Blind Forest for 299 euros. With all the Quantum Break hype, I'm thinking of buying one.

I'm not interested in online gaming so what would be the best single player experiences available on Xbox One? Besides the games mentioned above, I'm currently thinking Tomb Raider, MGS V, Arkham Knight, Witcher 3, and Rayman Legends.

The cutscenes have maintained the visual fidelity and the facial models are best in the 2016 version but on the other hand it lacks advanced lighting during gameplay. You can see in the first 30 seconds that in the 2015 version the golden light from the sun illuminates the area and casts sharp shadows. In the 2016 there's no shadows at all and it's made to look like cloudy weather to hide the fact that the lighting was removed. It's a clever artistic trick.

While I agree that the game is really promising, the live action portion has me a bit worried. Remedy is great at making games but it's a whole other thing to create a tv show with great quality. Even the producers of Game of Thrones didn't nail it on first try (there's a pilot episode not released to public before they remade it with a new director and cast changes).

So far, the previews haven't been as kind to the live action stuff as they have been to the g...

And the top spot goes to... Hitman????

Also, if the author is really suggesting that MLB 16 tops games like Quantum Break or Uncharted 4 in visual fidelity, he needs to buy a pair of glasses.

I appreciate the fact that the video is in 30 fps. I hate it when some sites post video footage of 30 fps games in 60 fps video. It's completely unnecessary and for me also annoying because my laptop is unable to handle Youtube's HD video in 60 fps.

EDIT: I'd like to have one of those bulletproof sofas. The ones I've had can't even handle cat claws.

While the graphics are amazing, I think the music is really bland. Never underestimate the importance of good music in games.

I suppose this means that Quantum Break uses DX12 on Xbox One as well.

1 hr and 10 minutes til the new Quantum Break trailer and previews come out!

Here's the interview (starts at the dinosaur question at 4:54)

https://youtu.be/Un-9b9HguP...

"Are there dinosaurs in your game?"
"Yes."
"Really?"
"Yes."

SPOILERS SPOILERS

What I found interesting is that Sam Lake told in Game Informer interview that there will be dinosaurs in Quantum Break. Sounds like different timelines might somehow collide in the game. Perhaps.

I would add Ryse and Batman Arkham Knight to that list. Both of them look much better than last gen games. Witcher 3 was very impressive as well.

As for upcoming games, Quantum Break and uncharted 4 seem very promising.

I remember reading that the gameplay + series combined will be about 12 hours long.

But there will be replay value due to huge so far unseen variation in the game's stages (let's just say that some of the fractures in time go back millions of years). There are also alternative versions of the series ased on the choices you make in the game.

Remedy had a bunch of game journalists visit them two weeks ago to play the game, but still no hands-on previews out. What's taking so long?

Is there some silly embargo going on? I don't understand how that would help Remedy.
