There's been a ton of gameplay from E3 to Gamescom and also a lot of people seem to have missed the gameplay shown at Brasil Game Show: https://youtu.be/lMgZzsYQmP...
Hey look, it's George Takei.
The long piece in Tetris is very powerful, it decimates rows of blocks like no other.
Remedy had a bunch of game journalists visit them early this week to play the game. However, there aren't any previews out yet. What's taking so long?
Remedy is still a relatively small studio with long game development times so the game might be a launch title for next gen Xbox.
However, if it's Alan Wake 2, they may have thought the story and gameplay through ages ago, leading to shorter development process.
I think that's not going to happen as Rockstar owns the rights to the Max payne franchise these days.
Yeah Crytek has a good reputation when it comes to visuals.
However (correct me if I'm wrong) but aren't Playstation VR titles supposed to have a framerate of 90 FPS minimum for a proper user experience, 1080p resolution and different image projected for each eye due to 3D?
I just can't fathom how it could look that good with those requirements. Even if it was a standard PS4 title, that trailer footage would be really impressive.
I'm willing to eat a hat full of shit if the end result will look as good as in the trailer (no downgrade): https://www.youtube.com/wat...
I believe they have good intentions but can you really create immersive world with details like foliage etc. with PS4 VR when the output has to be 90 frames per second, 1080p and two images (for both eyes)?
They showed gameplay a couple of weeks ago at Brazil Game Show: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Looks amazing but the voiceover for the trailer is a bit cheesy.
4 days, 7 hours left for the Game Awards.
I suggest you buy your milk in time so that you can sip it while watching the show.
In the video (at 2:40) it is stated to be "world premiere of new content for Quantum Break".
Go Finland! We lost Nokia but we still have Remedy and rye bread to keep us living.
If there are only 4 epsiodes of the live action TV show and the TV show alternates with episodes of the game, it means that there are only 4 or 5 episodes of the game in QB. Based on that, I'd say we're talking about at max 10 hours of content for the game + tv show combined.
@Mikefizzled I predict that first person titles will increasingly support VR as the popularity of VR devices grows. It would be good to have other forms of entertainment hop in the bandwagon to increase sales. The availability of VR movies (including porn) will definitely play a role in the future of VR market.
Did you watch the video? I think the 2013 game on Xbox 360 looks better than the footage attached to this news piece. I'm not a fanboy, I haven't even owned Playstation or Xbox consoles.
Compare that footage to the Xbox 360 version of the 2013 Tomb Raider game: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Now be honest, do you think Rise of The Tomb Raider looks better?
Technically the game looks ok but considering how awesome fanart I've seen, my reaction to the artstyle was 'meh'.
Some amazing fanart:

The Donkey Kong Country series on SNES are top notch. Even by today's standards the audiovisual experience is impressive and the gameplay is really tight.
My personal favorite is Star Fox Adventures on Gamecube. Apparently not that many people think it's a masterpiece though.
