thats what i was gonna say. even if the game itself isn't the best, although most things i have read say its looking good, no one seems to be disputing the quality of the engine.
If its an easy engine to develop with, and it is open for others to use, either 1st/end party devs or selling/leasing it to 3rd party devs, it opens things up for more quality ps3 games.

Why is everyone so obcessed with console sales. as long as one is not getting totally whooped by the other, which it isn't, multiplat games are almost equal, which sunce about cod4 have been, and the companies make profit on the console, which some reports say sony have, others say they have started to break even so will soon be into profit.

doesn't setting dvd/br upscaler setting to normal stop the ps3 from upscaling dvd's, i have always had it set to double, which i always thought upscaled the dvd's, and obviously just plays br's as normal because it cannot double them, unless ps3 can output 2160p, which it don't.
They have a plan, and are sticking to it. M$ have, i a way cheapend themsleves, on sale you could get a 360 arcade here in the uk for £99. the wii is still £180, which is good for sales, but you could sell anything if you drop the price low enough.
have M$ made any profit out of the xbox division at all yet? with the $3billion for RROD and the money they lost on XBOX1. If they loose money this gen what are they gonna do with the next xbox, they cut corners with the 360 enoughi...

25GB on a 5Mbps conection will take 55hours+, I can see games being a lot bigger than 25GB, MGS5?.
I know by the time PS4 comes out many conections will be faster, but there will still be plenty of places where they cant even reach 1Mpbs now.
also, many broadband providers have usage caps, some as low as 5GB, or lower.
seriously, the net infrastructure is just not up to total mainstream Digital Distribution yet, and will not be for many years to come.

i dont think wh*ing it out is problem, as long as the games don't all have the same look.
360 games on ue3 generally have the same look to them, which after a while starts to get repetetive.
but who knows, kz2 engine could be a knigthmare to use, could be very rigid in the type of game it makes, could make all games look the same or they may not even let anyone else use it.
