it's pretty obvious, isn't it?
almost every new gen of console uses a new,different storage format than it's predecessor. almost all, cough 360 cough. lol.

but ehy are people even talking about psp2, same as people talking about 720 and ps4. this gen is still not even halfway thru it's prime yet. i don;t know about xbox but i think ps4 won't be out until ps3 hits at least 6 or 7 years ols, could be even longer as ps3 was supposedly rushed out early to stop 360 gaining t...

It makes no financial sense to make it 360 exclusive for a few reasons

1. too many ps3's out there now to ignore

2. this is a sequel, the engine is likely to be an evolution of the 1st one, and since it already exists for the PS3 some of the dev work is already done.

...and 3rd party as multiplatform. It makes sense, with dev costs always increasing 3rd party devs should do multiplat and release at same time so they can try and sell as many copies as possible. The only time a timed or permanect exclusive makes sense is if it is paid for by one of the console makers.

this is where M$ start to look a bit weak now, they do not have as many 1st/2nd party exclusives as PS3, and 3rd party games a more likely to be multiplat as well, now that PS3 ...

yot can't call sony greedy with that price tag, they had innovative tech in their machine, rather than off the shelf junk that the 360 had, that caused all the RROD and disc read/disc scratchin crap.

wait until the end of this generation until you try and call ps3 a fail, u could be rght, u could be wrong.
the gap in sales between ps3 and 360 is not that huge, but both are not close to wii and all 3 are no were near ps2 levels yet.

if they were complaining about the kz2 story surely they must have moaned about the gears story.
like most shooters the story is not the strongest part of the game, and gears was no exception. it was really fun to play, bit the story was a bit of a let down.

oh, and 720p?, what was halo3 again, i forget, but it was not even full 720p. and gears 1 and 2, when in 1080p is it native or just scaled up?

I'm no expert, but to me this would seem like a bad idea. Knowing all the problems that they had developing for ps3 in its early days i would have thought ps4 would just be a scaled up version of the ps3. like cell with more spu's or 2+cells together and a similar but more3 powerful gpu.
this way when ps4 comes out it won't be that much different to develop for than the ps3.
maybe these things arn't as simple as that though.

There was nothin revolutionary about halo. halo was hyped and marketed loads, mainly because it was the only big game for the xbox at the time, it was an accesable game and esay to get into which is why it bacame popular, and i'm not trying to say any of the halo's are bad games, although i'm not much of a fan because i grew up with pc fps games and halo to me was a bit meh, nothin new here.

ms are selling the 360 too cheap as it is now, i doubt they are making hardly any profit on it. a complete redesign, making a samller unit, probably with passive cooling that won't RROD will be really difficult, and expensive for them to design, and what price would they sell it at, they would have to sell it higher than standard 360, but if it cost more, by the time it came out ps3 would have got its price cut, probaly putting...

they have certainly moved on, and are cheaper
1080p plasmas are quite common adn cheap now, a few years ago most plasma's wouldnt do 1080p, and those that did cost a fortune.

i have heard that burn in can still be an issue, even on newer tv's that claim it not to be. but i agree plasmas usually have a nicer, richer picture.

i aggree, ps3 is rumoured to be into profit now, so as long as it keeps selling, even if it doen't passs 360 sales by the end of this gen it will still have made sony money, and from a business point of view it will be a success.

i don't know if 360 is in profit yet because of big price drop and rrod issues, but i am aslo sure it will be in profit by the end of its lifetime, again a success, doing more than xbox1 which i read never made profit.

fallout and gta dlc will not sell anymore copies of the console or the games

ff13 is also and probably better on ps3(lead platform, br etc.)

bioshock 2 - has that been confirmed as 360 timed exclusive? i got the teaser trailer for that from ps store a couple of months back, makes me think will be released same time

mass effect 2 - could be coming to ps3, also not a console seller as people wnating would already have a 360 from the first one..
