.....microsoft seems to ahve blown its load, they had nothing really exciting or new to show. I aggree FF XIII was a big shock, but its a third party multiplat game thats not out for another 2+ years and for all we know may be a bad port to the 360.
sony, i think is just trying to concentrate on making some of their big announcements from the past happen b4 they put everything they got on the table, and overhype games that are possibly 2 years away.

I didn't expect the eu video store to have same content sa the us store for the reasons others have said, licensing etc. and some films are released in us b4 EU, althought the time difference is usually less now days, especially on blockbusters because of piracy they release them earlier.

i have never played a final fantasy game and it looked pretty, although mostly pre-rendered. WTF was it all about, one minute they were flying dragons, next minute soemones on a motorbike, the its a bit space like!!!!!!

just looks like a messy manga film to me, which in the west aren't exactly mainstream. lets hope Ms didnt pay too much for this because i cant see them selling many extra consoles for this, especially as its not coming to 360...
If you think M$ piad $50mil for GTA4 DLC, what would it cost to bring this to the 360. lets just say $25mil, although it sounds cheap compared to what they paid for GTA4 DLC, that $75 mil spent on buying DLC that didn't have a massive impact on hardware sales for M$oft and a game that probably won't do that much for hardware sales either as final fantasy is a bit of a hardcore game and most hardcore gamers that would buy a PS3 for this game probably already have one.

I'm struggling to find the motivation to finnish the game cos it just isn't as much fun as it should be or the old games were. Granted the engine is a big step forward and the way I see it is GTA4 is about as good as GTA3, Vice city is where it got really good as they had thebasics there from GTA3 and could more time nto story/gameplay.
I see the next game being a lot better using GTA4's engine.

now with credit crunch etc. a lot of people that got one just to mess about with probably don't want to spend money on something else that will collect dust just like their wii does.

...........prefers IE over firefox. At the minute I use IE7 on my vista machine and have tried the firefox 3 latest RC and to be honest find IE7 loads pages faster. Havn't tried IE8 yet as I dont like early microshaft software as it usually takes them forever to make it work properly but for now IE7 does me just fine.

The previous GTA's just had something that kept you coming back for more, even if you were just going on a random killing spree or just some insane driving.
This game just doesn't draw me to it, I had a week when I couldn't play it, and now I have the time again I just can't be bothered. I'm about 40% thru and am bore of it.

I really like dthe first one, loved the story and cant wait to play the new one. As long as the graphics are better than the first one, even if only a little but and frame rate is rock solid i will be happy. I just wanna continue the story. I nevr thought of this game as a graphical showpiece, thats what killzone 2 is for.

...I was just on MSN and noticed an advert banner at the bottom of it about buying GTA4 on XBOX, then the next page says about exclusive episodes in autumn 08. then the next screen says XBOX starting at £159.95 (which is the arcade price)
any1 else think that its a bit durty of them to advertise episodes whilst trying to push the arcade onto people without telling them that you wont be able to get the episodes on an arcade, unless you pay out more later for a hdd?
What do they think they can achive from this. As DPA said, its not ISP's intentially slowing your line down. If you have a up to 8 meg service or MAX rate as it is known, your line will run as fast as it can up to 8meg, and thats it.
They all advertise as UP TO 8 meg so they are not conning anyone, if people dont understand what they are buying then its their problem, they should research. Also most people that dont understand what they are getting only browse the net and dont ...
