I really think we won't know until near the end until the end of the console's life when everything is maxed out by exclusive developers.
Let us PS3 owners just start celebrating that developers have finally gotten over the hurdles and learning curve of the PS3. We should have many wonderful years ahead of us.
It's a good game that runs great on both, no one should be upset. Rejoice at the birth of FPS based on modern times.
I think it's because of all the other electronic companies backing Blu Ray with standalone players. If they lower their price below $399, those other companies will have to follow suit. And I think one reason they aligned themselves with BD was because they didn't want to sell at $200 while producing at $500 like Toshiba's HD-DVD player is.
I know its possible with UT3, but not sure about CoD 4.
I'll definitely get Rock Band, Guitar Hero, and Singstar. And maybe DDR if it ever comes out as a mega collection for the PS3.
This is either going to be EA's chance to show that they don't taint everything they touch, or to finally prove they are the beginning of the end for video games (in which case I hope all developers are able to put some more titles out before EA gets to them).
Wow, so aggressive, calm down a bit. He was just stating his opinion like the MS guy was. The quote on it being the better offer is pretty subjective. We all define it differently.
Some people, like me, bought a PS3 because we believed it gave us the best features, highest reliability, and longest life cycle. And obviously, there are others who bought a 360 for their own reasons.
If the guy from MS thinks 360 is a better value thats perfectly fine, but it does an...
Pure propaganda from beginning till the end. It makes me wish more and more than Google will replace MS soon.
It's just a discussion that offers no new insights, just useless speculation. They would do better getting an interview and making a podcast on that.
How can they support HD-DVD actively and still not be part of the format war? That is quite a contradiction. It is like a soldier loading up bullets for one side of a war but claiming to be a neutral civilian, it just doesn't work.
So the new FUD tactic is to stop potential buyers by babbling about price drops that won't ever happen.
I just think its a shame they are hogging Mystwalker studio all to themselves.
I'd like a comparison of attach rate for the month instead.
Oh so he didn't like the track list they selected. I thought it was something about the gameplay itself.
OMG that is a good deal, I would jump on this if I didn't already have a PS3.
I seriously doubt Sony, Disney, Fox, and Lionsgate are going to drop exclusivity. There is a much greater chance for a neutral studio like Warner Bros to do it. So far studio only cares about the sales ratio, and BD has been winning 2:1 despite a higher priced player.
Also you bought the older model, which only supports 1080i, so you have no future proofed yourself either. If you are the average joe, then the tactic seems to work by targetting poorly informed consumers through ...
Have you see the Blu Ray releases for this week?

We get the latest Pixar films (I don't care who you are but you can't say you don't like them) as well as some really good 4-pack bundles for each genre for only $60. HD-DVD goes on the defensive by dropping price while BD goes offensive with more exclusive releases on BD. It's ...
I think it is helping Sony sell PS3s. It has been praised as something everyone can enjoy due to its fun gameplay and solid dialogues much like a Pixar film by the mass media. Of course Wii has the most games parents would want their children play, but what's on the 360's side except arcade side shooters and Viva Pinata (like a sims for paper animals that has been said to be too difficult for young kids to enjoy). This and Uncharted are helping to sell systems.
I think we are all talking about the 2007 lineup right now, but PS3's 2008 lineup is much stronger than the 360's.

Same here, it is a great franchise. I bought a bundle plus an extra guitar for my PS3, and I also preordered Rock Band. Why in the world would I care anymore whether anyone else except my friends got it?
