I find it hard to believe that you actually spent the time to play the game. What in the world were your criticisms after you played it? No multiplayer doesn't count.
It's still good news for Sony.
It makes sense but I hope Japanese games stay original. Square Enix's new RPG Last Remnant is looking very promising, so I think it would be good to pursue an IP with some solid franchises to back the company up if the new IP doesn't work out so well.
They really need to start moderating those areas more and players who wander into these areas need to be actively alerting moderators of them. It is really sad that this is where the wonders of the computer age lead us...
I think Sony will evaluate their the results of this price drop across the holiday and then make their actions then. I'd like the hear his prediction after he analyzes the post-holiday sales.
It's just bad PR and not worth going for a long drawn out court battle if you can settle it fast.
Mario Galaxy and R&C are the only real platformers out right now, so I'd expect them to do well.
I still want them, but I think a better apology from them is to make a Resident Evil game for the PSP, that would be cool.
Did the Wii just go up? I swear last week's numbers (not from Famitsu) had PS3 getting pretty close to tying with the ii.
We know exclusives can run beautifully so this seems like a logical choice for developers. I believe Epic is already doing this for UT3. Then again, I don't mind delays on games I'm not that excited about only if the delay is worth it (runs better, looks better, plays better).
Couldn't have said it better myself. If I wasn't in college, I would probably buy another for my folks as a home media center for them.
I like the connection, and I think Disney has every reason to be more vocal and involved with Blu Ray. They cover a major family sector of the movie industry, especially now that they have Pixar back, so I'm glad they will be actively supporting Blu Ray. Sony won't have to fight alone in the format war any longer.
The extra time PS3 had for development probably gave the developers time to actually make use of the specialties of the PS3 hardware, just like Virtual Fighter 5 for 360. A wait is always good if it was worth it.
Thanks for summing some of the things I was going to say up, you really saved me a lot of time. More 360 fans should do this for PS3 fans.
I can't argue with your logic, but I hope it doesn't happen. Win 98, 2000, and XP were ok, but it became more bloated and just got worse in time. If you have Vista, you would understand why MS needs to back to its roots.
I have a PS3 and I won't be getting this, not because it was late or anything, but because there's already a lot of games (both exclusives and crossplatformers) that just forced this game off my list from the very beginning.
I also find it hard to believe that vgchartz is listing R&C as only 97k to date while Ace Combat 6 has 110k. Since when did Ace Combat 6 become such a big thing here in the states? I hardly ever hear anyone around here (this site even) talk about it, usually its all Mass Effect for the 360.
BD-R discs are going to get cheaper soon since TDK (I believe) just started finalizing organic dye for those discs.
They remind me of Six Flags amusement parks that buy a lot of rides but then don't really have anything new to offer, so people stop going and they start shutting parks down. They do the same with development studios, going on acquiring sprees and then shutting those places down after they hit a financial problem.
Hands down the most exciting and catchy ad I've see for any console as of yet. I think Sony's PR department finally turned a corner.
