I have the same feeling. Why can't people just take a good thing for what it is and be thankful for it? If the 360 got it instead, I doubt the author would be writing a similiar article.

I'm a die hard Simpsons fan (never quite caught up to Family Guy), so I will probably get the game. I think I will get the PS3 version so I can play splitscreen with my friends so it will be like that classic Simpsons arcade game.
I don't think IGN reviews all their games right before they release the review. I believe they do it ahead of time and simply wait until the publishers gives them the go-ahead to release their reviews publicly.

Well this game does seem interesting but it probably doesn't deserve more than 8.0. These days it is just hard to want to play FPS games as I've been spending my free time on GH and, hopefully soon, Rock Band. I think this was a pretty fair review and I hope some review site post a video review up soon so I can get a better look into the game.
I like how that Final Fantasy one looks but how in the world do they make it available for only 40MB? Is it episodic or something?
I really don't think it's Blu Ray that is selling PS3s; it is PS3s that are selling Blu Rays.
True, it makes it much easier to see, but I wish it was longer, in higher resolution, and slowed the speed down for better comparison.
I hope BD burners are going to become much cheaper soon, since that was what made the DVD really widely accepted.

While I agree the dollar speaks a lot, smart consumers should think about the whole point of buying a next gen player. Sure a $200 HD-DVD player is $200 cheaper than the $400 40GB PS3, but is it worth saving $200? You want as much features as possible and make it worth while, or else you could have just stayed...
Actually, the Blu Ray group hasn't been publicizing about hardware sales or attach rates (probably due to this reason). Instead, they've been focusing on the most important factor of all: the actual sales of the Blu Ray movies versus HD-DVD ones.
Well, I've yet to heard the Blu Ray group claim the highest number of Blu Ray players sold by including PS3 in them or announce ultra high attach rates by only counting standalone players. This is what the HD-DVD group is the kind of thing the HD-DVD group is doing.
And speaking of panicking, do you really think the $200 player is being sold at that price because of improvements in manufacturing when it was being sold for $500 not so long ago?

Yeah, I know I am confused. Maybe this is like PES where your HDTV can alter the performance or maybe those PS3 tweaks really do work and the IGN people didn't do them.

Well Kingdom of Hearts franchise was a great success but only because it was a real quality game that was backed up by the experience of Square Enix and some really authentic voice acting.
