Even if you are running of out ways to insult the PS3, you should at least pick a better one than that.
Let's compare Lost Odyssey to Uncharted in their graphics and engine. Lost Odyssey is based on the Unreal Engine, framerate issues, and 20-30 sec load times between just about every battle or area transition (according to IGN). Uncharted is based on an engine built by Naughty Dog from scratch using C++ versus LISP that they are used to, has no framerate problems from my experi...
Making any accessory that risks bodily harm if the user ever stops moving works just as well. A small tear gas grenade or an ear blazing siren all does the job for a lot less money and a lot more incentive.
I don't know, I'm really looking forward to that title. Amazon seems to be showing a release date of October for this year which makes sense.
If it helps save some for the U.S. I'm fine with it, I want DS3 by this summer for the states without having to import form YesAsia.
Good competition always benefit the consumers.
The best JRPG on the 360 is stll Eternal Sonata I guess, which thankfully is coming to the PS3 as well.
I would normally feel the same way as you guys if it were some other game since its about time those PS3-bashing gamers get a taste of their own medicine, but I just can't stay made at a high production JRPG even if its on a 360.
I'm not going to approve it due to lack of proof for its authenticity and the strong objections from 360 users, but the tone of the answers seem pretty straight forward except that its oriented towards the source of problems for the 360.
Does that mean I have to upgrade my desktop already? I still have an Athlon 64 running in there.
EA just wants to make money on EVERYTHING.
I think that touches on the weakness of MS's hardware development team. Take the Zune (1st gen) for instance, I won it a career fair raffle recently and found that it only has about 5-6 hrs of battery life even with all features disabled. They would really need to beef up their hardware development standards if they want to make a portable game console that will stand up the well established DS and PSP.
Graphics aren't really important for an RPG, it's the story and gameplay. I just like JRPGs too much to dislike this title despite it being on the 360.
As of right now, I've completely stopped purchasing EA games. The last one I bought last year was Rock Band. I really don't like the idea of supporting developers that one moment pats a console on the back at the same time trying to trip it.
For sports, I turn to 2K and Sony. For FPS, I turn to Insomniac, Infinity Ward, and Epic. Basically for whatever genre EA tries to venture in, there is always a better alternative.
Well, on the top of my head I can think of Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Ninja Theory, Infinity Ward, Codemasters, Polyphony Digital, and Evolution Studios.
All Sony needs is some better software developers, which they can easily get from Apple or any other sources.
Stock keeping unit. Its just a unique identifier for a product as a means to distinguish different products part. More SKU means more different models.
Yeah I know, I had to pay $30 just for MGS3 Subsistence. It's available now on Amazon for preorder. Available in mid March.
@JOLLY1
I don't really care about the other stuff you say, but you really shouldn't bring up the attach rate without mentioning the fact that its for twice the length of ownership in comparison to the other two consoles.
I really hope they release a limited edition that features the collector's edition for the old MGS releases. I would jump on that even if its priced at $100. Right now I'm just waiting for maybe a preorder deal (like a gift card or something) before I make mine.
They haven't really made any big games yet at that studio aside from the Twisted Metal ones for PSP and PS2. They can probably sell after they a release for the PS3.
