They need to stress the free service of PSN, the reliability of the system, the games that are coming out, and, jsut for the heck of it, the dominance of Blu Ray.
Doesn't it go both ways? I highly doubt an ethnic warfare has any elegance.
I think some of the new features require new hardware capabilities such as more memory and internet connections.
Yes these old antics are really amusing to help you explore the JRPG world. I especially liked Radiata Stories's system that lets you kick people to get them to drop items and fight them for experience.
You are joking right? I may understand your state of loyalty and denial from being a HD-DVD user, but to want to buy 1-2 of these things just because HD-DVD is slashing prices again is beyond logic. Do you know why they are so dirt cheap? You think Toshiba is selling them below manufacturing cost because they are generous? Have you ever seen pigs fly?
Hardly. Unless they are warning every buyer of the new situation in regards to the format war, they are praying on the ignorance of the consumers and selling them what may ultimately be nothing more than a relic.
Because the reason why they are 1/3 of the price is not because Toshiba managed to reduce their manufacturing costs so much quicker but rather they need to slash prices to boost up hardware sales to make up for disastrous media sales.
I have been unable to play a lot of my old favorites and have seen a performance drop on the new OS. I hope SP1 will fix a lot of these problems.
Well know you know what it feels like to be on the negative end of public opinion with fans of the rival console storming down on you. I'm not going to join in but I hope it serves to remind that what goes around comes around the next time you comment on a negative PS3 article.
Things I don't understand about your facts:
1) You are comparing two years of sales to a single year
2) You rounded the 360's sales to retailers up 0.3 million while comparing it to the exact PS3 user sales from vgchartz.
That just means its been used a lot contradictory to 360 fan's myths. And the nice thing about it is that all that dust does nothing to affect its life and reliability.
It really was a risky gamble for Sony by including that. And though I would have purchased a PS3 even if it didn't have Blu Ray, I really am glad to have it now.
Even as a PS3 fan I could have made a better list than this article, most of the titles are multi-platform and hardly worth the price.
@she00win99
No because, unlike Zhuk, TANOD is able to refer to the PS3 casually. I can respect Zhuk's high opinion for the 360, but it bothers me that he always must refer to it as the "Xbox 360" multiple times in a single sentence. So unless TANOD does the same and hails the PS3 as the "Playstation 3", I think you can rest safely at that.
@power of Green
Services that are subscription based and not always reliable versus one that is free and improving at a rapid pace.
I have no illusion that it won't be a difficult to battle the Wii on the casual and then the well established 360 on the hardcore market, but anyone that just rules out the PS3 is underestimating it. Sony is really starting to get their act together in terms of the software and interoperability between their devices.
I did not...
I think my PS3 uses a Western Digital hard drive. Seagate hard drives performs better and more reliably from my experience, but WD ones are much more silent.
I think Seagate (which includes Maxtor) rules in terms of Hard Drives, with Western Digital following closely now that they have secured their own manufacturing facilities.
Sorry to burst your bubble, the top selling exclusives for the PS3 are Uncharted, R&C, and Motorstorm, so I guess you never played them if you thought they were FPS games.
I really don't care what games the 360 gets in any genre, but I still do not believe the platform is capable of appreciating JRPGs. Take a look at Lost Odyssey and Eternal Sonata, these were good titles (unlike Blue Dragon) and they hardly even made an impact on the gaming community. Most of people I know...
I have no idea where you are getting your numbers from but I guess good for you that you like RTS since Supreme Commander was a really good one. I finished playing it earlier this winter on my PC desktop. I still have trouble understanding while you always call the "Xbox 360" so formally as if you were personifying it as royalty.
Wait a tick. So what is its case against Sony? It's a long rant that Sony doesn't listen to bloggers. I've remembered posting questions on the official PS3 blog before along with a bunch of people and actually had it answered indirectly. It wasn't much but it feels nice to have developers and managers at Sony and its affiliates actually making posts and checking back, but that's not really my point.
Sony does listen to PS3 owners, though maybe not to bloggers, who are nothing m...
