Though this should be in the Open Zone, I do have a question about this whole attach rate business. Is the 360's better attach rate considered within a one year or two year period? I mean buying seven 360 games is not so impressive if it's after one to two years of ownership by most users.
If you look at must have titles for each system, the 360 obviously has a bit more than half a dozen. Is there any 360 owners who didn't buy Halo 3? The same goes for the PS3, except it had les...
Okami was hard to get used to after playing ages of JRPGs, but it was a really nice game.
I liked the whole 40GB and 80GB strategy, they just need to either provide a better bundle or drop the price a bit. They were really starting to turn things around, though maybe not as fast as they would have liked.
Their gaming division for the third quarter of 2007 has just posted a positive net income, so they are finally making a profit again. And it is hard to listen to this from BBC, which is the only Warner Bros affiliate that has not stepped out of format neutrality.
I've only bought the real games to developers I want to support which are mostly the big titles, include FFIII and FFIV. If it wasn't for the R4DS, I wouldn't even have purchased a DS Lite.
I'm not sure if it is completely accurate, but a post by vgchartz referring to Sony's official Q3 quarter finance also shows a positive net operating income for Sony's gaming division.
Q3 Game Unit Results
Revenue $5.1 billion
Operating Income $133 million

Hold on, even vgchartz shows over 9.5 million sold by retailers. I don't get why they dropped it from 11 to 9.5 rather than 11 to 10.5 million.
If we put the platforms aside for a moment and just look at JRPGs, there are a few contenders. I don't care much for western RPGs, so the list is follows:
Lost Odyssey
Last Remnant (What happened to it? I haven't heard anything for awhile)
White Knight Story
FFXIII (Depends on if it comes out by the end of this year)
Then aren't you glad you got that shiny new 360 as soon as it was released? Don't you love its dependability and the fact that it will must make periodical visits to the manufacturer for repairs? And if you had waited two years down the road, you wouldn't have all that. It feels good to be loved.
Only reason R&C wasn't a preorder for me was because I still have two of the PS2 ones at home that I haven't played. I only have so much money to spend.
Maybe they can add Mouse and Keyboard support for this game on the 360.
They need to focus a lot more on the U.S. in order to catch up. I hope their new SKU or pack will be designed with this in mind.
I'm just about to start Wild Arms Alter Code F and Wild Arms 5 this summer, so I can't wait for this to come out as well.
I really would love to see those RPGs from Level 5. Rogue Galaxy 2 is by far one of the main announcements I'm waiting for.
I really hope KH3 isn't a Wii exclusive. I'd hate to get a console just for a single game.
The articles mentions the three year warranty, so I don't understand the problem. The consoles they are having problems with might be just those that broke down with its users rather getting a full refund than sending it back in.
I just think they are running in danger of being overshadowed by MGS4 and Killzone 2.
It's just hurting ill-informed consumers who will soon have an obsolete system.
I feel these responses from them are getting more and more generic all the time. They basically just inserted Woolworth into the same response they gave when WB made the switch.
It took me a lot longer than 7 hrs to play through Uncharted.
But that's besides the point, its hard to argue that JRPGs, regardless of the production values, do not get the attention they deserve on the 360 platform.
Me neither, as long as it doesn't accept optimal performance and development time.
