I like how they had both a list for the editors' picks and a list for readers' picks. I think it's important to have both, not just one side or the other.

This is surprising considering the cozy relationship that Nintendo and Sega seem to be having as of late. I'd think that the gamepad would actually work really well with an Alien game.

If Book of Spells and The Walking Dead can both have platinums just for finishing the game, then other games with much more difficult to achieve trophies should have them as well.

Or maybe he's porting Braid to the XB1.

But if's not perfectly appealing, how can it be perfect?

It doesn't really do it for me so I can't agree that it's perfect.

Sony seems to have learned a big lesson. Don't say it works unless it does.

When they talked about Remote Play during the February reveal, most people were skeptical (and rightly so). They had promised Remote Play for years and it never worked. So when people got their hands on a PS4 and discovered that Remote Play actually works as advertised, they were stunned.

I think the same could be said about game streaming. Sony said it would work, yet there wa...

Titanfall head exclusively to Xbox One and PC... and Xbox 360. That doesn't sound very exclusive.

I agree with wanting to delete useless apps. I use Netflix and don't want to see every other icon on my screen when I only need one.

My number one complaint about next-gen is people complaining there are no games. As if it was some kind of surprise that there would be few games for the first few months. All things considered, both the PS4 and XB1 launched with a healthy lineup of games. I'm actually surprised there were as many as there were. But this isn't something new. Developers can't just flip a switch and miraculously games for the new systems just pop out.

Making games for a new s...

Watchdogs was shown off at E3 in 2012 and will be released in 2014. So it wouldn't surprise me that The Division would be show off in 2013 and released in 2015.

And hence my new year's reasolution: DON'T BUY ANY MORE GAMES... at least until I start playing through the ones I bought last year. The stack of unplayed games is tremendous. I have games from previous generation consoles I still need to get to. It's a tough job but these games won't play themselves.

I think you should. Earlier today Adam Boyes tweeted:
"Can't wait to get my PS4 Don't Starve on this Tuesday (once I get back from CES) - Free for PS+ members to boot! This is @klei's best yet!"

The guy bringing all the indy games to the PS4 is going to CES. Why? He's not going to talk about TV's. He's the games guy, so I think you should expect talk of games.

I saw on Twitter earlier today that Adam Boyes is going to CES. Now why would the guy in charge of third party relations at PlayStation be going to CES?... Hmmmm.

While traditionally Sony has used CES to focus mainly on their TV's, phones, and cameras, I'm getting the feeling that this year it's going to be different. Games are going to be shown (or else why is Adam Boyes going?). Anyway, something gaming related is going to be show.

It's what I thought it was. ie, nothing. You know, to a lot of the world, Christmas is celebrated on Jan. 7. Not in Italy, but still.

Yep. The true potential for the VitaTV is still in the future. A big selling point for it is the Remote Play function which isn't currently ready. Games need to be patched to allow for PS3 controller support (Killzone Mercenary already confirmed with more on the way).
If you buy one today, you're not going to get the full experience, but a taste of what is to come. And I agree that this is really a western device and will do well here. I think they're waiting for th...

A lot of games already has a reduced price on Amazon. CoD Ghosts, Knack, a bunch are less than the $60 they originally sold for.

The more I hear about it, the more I hate metacritic. Too many people put too much weight behind the metacritic score. Gaming execs pay close attention to the score. PS+ won't offer games unless they have a certain metacritic score. Too much power is being put into the hands of a few individuals. Less than 20 people get to put their inputs into this all important score and that score really makes an impact on what people purchase.

His argument essentially is that the XB1 software is better as of right now. But the PS4 hardware is better. The thing is, software can be improved with an update, the hardware is forever.

"Better" is such a subjective term. If you like the Xbox ecosystem, subscribe to XBL Gold, and have a high interest in hooking your cable box to your gaming console, then I can see how you say it would be better.

For me, it's not. I'm already invested in the PlayStation world and have a Vita and PS+. That makes the PS4 infinitely more attractive and a better console. I also don't subscribe to cable, so that advantage on the XB1 also falls flat.
