You just hook up the PS4 camera, it scans you and everything is fixed. It's like freakin' Star Trek. And all for only $399. Amazeballs.
On a related note, the website hosting this article is one of the worst I've ever seen. I had to click through 3 popup ads, and one that never went away. It go so bad, one ad would pop up while the other one was trying to start. It's like visiting IGN on steroids.
Clearly the PS4 is the most powerful machine ever. MRI machines stand no chance next to this powerhouse.
I was going more for sarcasm, but I also really do enjoy Knack. It's not for everyone, and it's not a game you'll want to play for 10 hours straight, but I did really enjoy it.
And of course the people of Japan love it so much that they're refusing to buy any other game. :)
Nope, the people have spoken. It's Knack or nothing.
Considering the only game people want is Knack, and that comes bundled in, it doesn't surprise me game sales would be weak.
I don't agree with a lot of what's said in this review. I find this game to be challenging, charming, and down right fun. It's worth a lot more than the $2 they're asking for.
That said, it's a very well written review. Not everyone is going to love this game, but as someone who grew up playing games like this, I loved it.
The Kinect is to the XB1 as the Wii is to the Wii U.
It's understandable why Microsoft decided to put so much emphasis on the Kinect. When they released it for the 360, it was incredibly successful. Tons of people when out and bought it. The problem is, that after playing with it a few times, people got over their excitement because it wasn't as cool as the hype. But Microsoft only sees all those units sold and thinks that this is what people want. This is the future of...
It's definitely not in a "demise" state at the moment. But just imagine where it would be if they hadn't made the reversal on all their DRM policies. Then we would be talking demise.
Chill bro. A lot of what they said at the reveal aren't promises so much their vision for where it's going. They talked a lot about Gaikai, which is just now coming to fruition. Other features are coming. The console isn't a static device and will continue to improve over the coming years.
But I can't play every game ever made. Like most people, I watch it first, if it looks interesting, try it. If it doesn't look interesting, I skip it and go on to something else.
Titanfall just doesn't look interesting to me. Maybe I'll play it sometime, but I'm in no hurry. I understand that it's a very empowering game in that it makes you feel like a bad-ass, but so do a lot of other games.
Everyone bashes the Vita slim because it doesn't have an OLED screen, but unless you hold the two next to each other, you probably will never notice the difference. But the upsides, such as being lighter, better battery life, and having a standard charging port, will be noticed.
Now Sony needs to bring more colors to markets outside of Japan.
It seems like the Titanfall beta is taking some wind out of this games sails. Prior to the beta, all the impressions that were available were from game sites who all universally loved it. They hype began. It was the greatest thing ever. It was the reason you'd buy an XB1.
Ever since the beta, you start to see everyone's impressions, and it seems to be a lot of, "Yeah, it was fun. Kind of cool. Bots are dumb and they suck." The game was hyped to a plac...
This is without a doubt one of the worst article I've ever read. It is so full of horrible analysis that Forbes should be ashamed it's attached to their site.
As a Vita owner, I agree with you. While I'd like sales to be better, I'm having fun with it.
That's strange considering how gaga he's been over the XB1 lately.
I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but the Wii U is going to OWN 2014. Year of Luigi 2, baby! Things are just getting started.
/sarcasm
Since The Last of Us was such a big seller on the PS3, I wonder how many people would buy a PS4 version. Tomb Raider didn't sell as well, plus it already has a pc version which would be easy to port. Would it make sense for Sony to spend the money to rework TLoU? I'd rather they invest their time and money into something new. This isn't the kind of game you want to play again and again.
Why is it that when some article is critical of a game that's popular, someone always thinks that finally the truth is coming out? I remember reading comments for Polygon's less than stellar review for The Last of Us saying, "Finally nice to see some honesty about this game." So reviews are only honest when they're critical?
That said, I agree with you. I don't think this game is going to live up to the hype it has garnered and right now this game...
The problem is that Blow doesn't acknowledge here that Sony Santa Monica has another new game with Cory Balrog also in development, which most likely is also new IP. SSM's last game, God of War Ascension did not perform as well as expectations. So they don't get to make the big gambles like Naughty Dog does.
