If Nintendo can survive the GameCube, then the Xbox can survive the XB1.

Titanfall is killing me. The constant talk and hype and more talk is just getting on my nerves. Everywhere I turn, it's Titanfall this, Titanfall that. Every website I go to greets me with a big banner and ad for Titanfall. I'm sick of this game already and it just debuted today. There is such a thing as too much media exposure.
I do find it ironic that Titanfall (the game that changes everything) actually has a lower metacritic score than Dark Souls 2.
I hate m...

Reality Fighters? I kind of forgot this was even a game. Wow. I always thought it was a tech demo. Of course, I thought Little Deviants was the same thing.
It brings me back to the days when augmented reality was going to change the world. AR, 3D gaming, and "you are the controller" are all things I lump together as "nice try, but I don't think so."

It's an easy fix. As soon as the Xbox turns on, you simply have to say "XBOX - Stop spying on me" and it's done.

Am I the only one who is getting the vibe that Titanfall is going to be all the rage or about a month, and then slowy forgotten? I keep thinking it's going to be like Halo 4. Everyone is psyched for it, and then once it comes out, it's really big for a few weeks and then gets lost in the excitement for the next big thing.

I already know a bunch of people who immediately said no to the game once discovering it was only multiplayer.

I always felt this was the big difference between Call of Duty/Battlefield and the Killzone games. CoD/BF approach war almost from the point of view the world had on war pre-WWI. It really glorifies the battle. War is fun. There's a good guy and a bad guy and everything is very black and white.

Killzone shows war as dirty, brutal, and a little terrifying. It's not fun, and it's really hard to determine who the bad guys are and who the good guys are. Both sid...

So Titanfall (XB1) and Infamous SS (PS4) are neck and neck in preorders. I never would have guessed that. Based on the hype, I would have thought that Titanfall would be running away with it.
Curious to see what the actual sales are, or if the Titanfall sales on XB1 will just get lumped in with the other versions.

It matters to some people, it doesn't matter to others So what?

The real argument is that the same game looks different on the two consoles. So bringing up Space Invaders or GoldenEye is not really relevant.

I know, nothing to play on the PS4. Except Killzone was fun And I AC4 looked really good. But other than that, well, Flower and Flow were cool. Resogun was a lot of fun But aside from those you have nothing... unless you can also count DC Universe and Warframe, which actually is a lot of fun. Ok, ok. But aside from Killzone, Flower, Flow, AC4, Resogun, DC Universe, Warframe, Don't Starve, Outlast, Contrast, Dead Nation, and Escape Plan, there is literally nothing to play on the PS4...

Strangely, this game doesn't look that bad. I had written it off based on the name, but after watching the trailer, it might have something.

The "best" game is a subjective term. Resogun was praised, but personally I think it's far from the best. And it was given away as a part of PS+, not with the console.. but whatever
If you're talking about the highest rated game based on metacritic score, the actual winner is

Microsoft is betting the farm that Titanfall is going to boost sales of the XB1. It's to the point now where they're giving the game away for free in a bundle. The most anticipated game for XB1, the game people will buy the system and the game for, is free.
And here we are, 4 days from it's launch, and what is the #1 Best seller at Amazon? The PS4. The Titanfall bundle is at #11. I know their best seller chart changes frequently, but that doesn't look good. It ...

Shhhh. Nobody say nothin', but I have an anonymous source deep inside Sony's headquarters. It has been revealed to me (exclusively) that some cool games will be coming for the PS4. I can't say any more or I'll be in trouble.
Carry on.

This got me thinking about Sony and Microsoft. For the PS4/XB1, Microsoft seems to be backing the tried and true games (Call of Duty, Battlefield) for exclusive content. Sony seems to be backing the potential blockbusters of tomorrow in Watch Dogs and Destiny.

One is backing the old and one the new. Interesting.

Thank god I'm not alone. You're right in that it's a point & click game, but it's not really a game. It's a story that sometimes you get to make a decision that may or may not effect the future.

My problem was always being in a situation where zombies are everywhere, Lee is supposed to be hurrying to do something, and then suddenly he casually walks over to Clementine and nonchalantly asks, "How you holdin' up?" I'm like WTF?! Se...

I just can't understand that love that this series gets. I played Season One of the Walking Dead, and after three hours, I wanted to rip my eye balls out. It was a glitchy, technical mess wrapped around a story that just didn't do anything for me.

There are lots of ways you can spin these numbers. 65k in a week is still double it's nearest competitor, the 3DS. 65k a week is 260k for the month (pretty good). But here we have a look at the second week of sales for a video game console sold in Japan in recent history. And what's recent history? Does the PS3 launch count? Or is that not recent enough??

For a system with only a handful of games and fewer media capabilities than the PS3, I'd say it's doi...

Yes, a price cut is desperation. The Titanfall bundle is desperation. If things are going well and sales are brisk, you don't cut the price of your console or give away your most anticipated game for free. I'm not saying it's not a good strategy, but it's not a move Microsoft is making because they're on top of the world.
