Project CARS is probably the best example of why third parties abandoned Nintendo. When Slightly Mad announced Project CARS will come to the Wii U they didn't knew the hardware specs at the time, like any other third party developer, and you can bet that Slightly Mad were not expecting Nintendo to repeat their mistake with the Wii, but Nintendo surprised us all doing it again releasing an underperforming console. So I assume the guys at Slightly Mad said something like: "f**k it, we&...

Iwata is in charge of the System Development Division? So that's why the Wii U sucks.

*prepares to receive hateful comments from Nintendo fanboys*

And the next over hyped game to disapoint us all will be Project Cars. I have a very bad feeling about this one.

I was starting to think I was the only one not interested in this game at all. The more I know about it the more it seems to be boring as hell. I seriously don't understand why there is so much hype about this game. But then I must say I didn't like Minecraft either, so I guess this is not my kind of game.

Wow, these are some of the best comments I've read on N4G. I'm just going to say that I agree 100% with ABizzel1, and 0% with wonderfulmonkeyman.

Of course the Wii U is highly efficient, it better be when Nintendo is releasing a console with at least 5 to 6 year old technology. You can say the same thing for a laptop PC, it is a highly efficient version of a 5/6 year old desktop. Heck, even your smartphone is a super highly efficient version of a 10 year old PC. The fact that it is highly efficient doesn't mean it can run the latest current-gen games, it only means it can run last gen games with a lot less power and resources, as i...

Downloading it right now. Maybe I'll learn to use it some day... or not, anyway free is free.

I think the main reason why the Wii U has a bad perception is becasue it's seen as a "late last gen" console. I agree it has great games, but you would be fooling your self if you think people don't notice that the Wii U is basically Nintendo's answer to the 360 and PS3... 6 to 7 years "later".
And the main reason for the 3DS rebound was the HUGE price cut. I bet that if it were still selling at the original price its sales numbers won't be even nea...

Just read all four parts, excellent. I agree 100%, I also been thinking for a few months now that a Disney buyout will be the best thing to happen to Nintendo.

I thought Ground Zeroes was the DLC for Phantom Pain, but this time they did it backwards and released the DLC first.

I think your translation was actualy pretty accurate, hahaha. Iwata will never change, that's for sure.

4018d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

I think that's what Iwata was actualy trying to say this time, but he was trying very hard to avoid using the words "please understand", it should have been like this:

*PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT* today, since this is not a Corporate Management Policy Briefing but a Financial Results Briefing after the year-end sales season, which is the biggest sales season of the year, *PLEASE UNDERSATAND AND* allow me to focus on the results of the sales season and update you on ...

Take it easy man, you really sound like a broken record. I'm not a Nintendo hater. If you could just put your self in the shoes of the 3rd parties maybe you'll start to see how all this is Nintendo's fault. That's why I said you lack business sense. You want me to provide a good logical retort, here take a look a this answer I posted to you about 2 months ago from an article about Nintendo's failure with the WiiU. I was talking about Nintendo &...

@superchiller
You took the words of my mouth, I'm also tired of reading woderfulmonkeyman's excuses blaming 3rd parties for all the Nintendo's obvious mistakes.

@wonderfullmonkeyman
Your lack of business sense is impressive. I want Nintendo to succeed, but defending their mistakes and blaming others for that won't help them at all.

Nintendo should ask Capcom's Street Fighter team for suggestions on the name for their next console, for example: Super Ultra Hyper Nintendo Alpha Turbo X64,000, hahaha.

Metroid Prime was for the Gamecube, but I totally agree with you. I never beat the final boss on that game, and I guess that's the only one I never could. Also the "weapon" battles in FFVII were like running a marathon. I've never played a boss battle again that was so difficult as in those two games.

Don't hate on Kiefer Sutherland for voicing Snake, if you don't like the change then hate Kojima, he is the one who decided to replace David Hayter. I've already played Ground Zeroes and though Sutherland is great, it feels akward and a bit inferior to Hayter. Kojima must have had a good reason to replace Hayter.

I just played MGSV Ground Zeroes yesterday, and I was very dissapointed after finishing it in less than 2 hours. I really hope that The Phantom Pain is long enough to compensate for Ground Zeroes.

You're not alone Crazay, but fanboys and Nintendo executives alike believe in the console instead of the games.
