Ha! You really are a dense motherf***er! You just don't get it! An analyst job is to tell investors what is most probable going to happen and NOT to tell them what THEY want to happen. You, as most Nintendo fanboys arround here, hate Michael Pachter because he said the Wii U will fail, as if saying so will hurt Nintendo, but no, he just said what he saw as the most probable scenario, and by doing that he made a lot of money to his clients (or in this case, he saved them a lot of money). I...
Dude, thanks for the video, it seems the game is not fun. I was about to buy this game tomorrow, you just saved me 50 bucks.
I was going to say the same thing, I only got two games this time, but that's because I already bought so many in previuous sales. In fact many of those games I got before were even cheaper this time. I think it was a great sale as always, it's just that there are too many too often.
Reggie is the new Don Mattrick.
I was going to say the same thing, Nintendo didn't want to show this game because it makes Starfox look like a Gamecube game.
Agree 100%. Every day I see more and more articles and comments expressing their dissapointment about Nintendo, and also a few articles like this one, that are clearly delusional and in denial trying very very hard to justify Nintendo crap as if it is actually a good thing for the fans. To me, all this tells a clear story that Nintendo is in decadence, and in danger of disapearing like Sega. And I'm not a Nintendo hater, I really hope Nintendo changes, soon rather than later, it's urg...
If I had seen the trailer of this game with out knowing the name, and then you asked me what I thought is it's name, I would have never ever guessed it's a "Metroid" game. I suppose they were going to call it just "Federation Force", but then someone thought that it would sell better if they add the word "Metroid" to it's name.
If they can produce that level of detail and quality on a game engine running at about 30 fps with only one GPU, I assume this technology is probably being used now by animation studios, since they don't need the video to be interactive and FPS are not a concern, but render times are. Just imagine the render cost savings, of course this only works when the animation is not required to be 100% photorealistc, but still this quality is amazing.
I know, I have the same problem, a lot of games on backlog. By the way I just finished playing Styx, I loved it more than I was expecting. Great game!
I guess this is the sucess paradox, when a developer/franchise gets succesfull, then the weird sh*t happens. As they say, all that goes up eventually comes back down.
Anyway, I still preordered this game, just hoping I won't regret it.
Same here. I'm all digital, also if you can wait a few months after release (I can, and most times I do) you can get the games at incredible discounts, and I'm not talking Steam discounts for PC, but PSN or XBL games discounts.
I understand that for those who like to have a collection, digital feels like meh.
I was a racing games fan, especially Gran Turismo games, but recently all racing games start to look an feel the same to me, so I'm no longer exited for new racing games. I don't mean I don't like them, it's just that I can't see that much difference to justify buying them. Or maybe I just got tired of them.
@Dubaman
Your arguments to defend the Wii U (and justify your lousy purchase) fool no one.
1. "Most downloadable games are only a couple hundred meg..." Yeah, and most are Virtual Console games, do you really think you can compare those games to, I don't know, GTA 5 or Witcher 3 for example? Apples to oranges.
2. "You really think a 500GB hard drive is going to be enough for a gamer using a PS4 or Xone..." Of course no...
And you know what grinds my gears the most? when Nintendo loyalists claim that the Wii U is the cheapest console saying that XB1 and PS4 are for the "elitists". But they don't take into account that if you add the cost of all the external accesories (like HDD, adapters, etc) the Wii U is the most expensive by a lot, and at the same time is a terribly underpowered console, not to metion the lack of 3rd party games.
Agree. At fist I thought this was a joke video. This is one of so many reasons I stopped buying Nintendo crap. This is so ridiculous it's redonkulous.
#6 looks amazing. You can even see the little skin hair. I can tell it's CG only because her face is perfectly symmetrical. From someone who has little experience doing this, I think that the most difficult part is getting the textures and shaders to look real. The actual modeling is a bit more easy.
So Nintendo is struggling to get third party games, and then they make them look as if those are more expensive than their own games? Nintendo excecutives must be super intelligent geniuses.
I agree with MrSwankSinatra, I stopped responding to the monkeyman for some time now, it's useless, the guy is a dense motherf****r and has absolutely no understanding of how a business works, that's why he keeps saying that if Nintendo goes third party will be a "financial suicide", as if all the third parties were broke or something, while in fact they keep getting richer and richer.
I started like many with the Atari 2600, but the first game that hooked me and I knew I will be playing games forever was Ninja Gaiden 2 for the NES. I played it so much that I started timing my self and was able to finish it in less than 30 minutes. I was addicted to that game. Then when I got a Super NES I was addicted to Street Fighter II. Now this days I rarely play a game twice. I don't know if that's good or bad. Good because there are so many games to play, or bad because I no ...
As a gamer I agree EA has the better IPs, but since the question is which is the best investment, from an investor point of view, I agree with Pachter that Activision is the best bet. You said it your self, they are too money hungry.
