Me too. I was going to wait for it to get cheap, or the GOTY edition, but preorder it last week for an incredible $21.84. Doesn't include the season pass though, but I don't care.
Dude, you should be the new Nintendo CEO.
Just an update, I noticed CDkeys reduced the price even more and thought what the hell, so I decided to buy it. With the 5% additional discount I ended up paying US$21.84. If for some reason the key doesn't work once the game is released then I'll just put on my eye pad and download the torrent.
Seems like Nintendo is finally waking up from the long coma. Now if they could only replace Satoru Iwata I'll be so happy.
I know, I'll probably regret this decision. It's just that I've heard many stories from people who bought game keys that didn't work, and I'm afraid if I buy this one it won't work. I have this funny thing that every time I think something will go bad, it usually happens, and since I already thought about this Batman AK key not working, well... call me crazy.
I've always sold my previous consoles when getting the newest one, except for my Atari 2600, that was my first console (yes I'm old). Sold my NES when I bought my SNES, then sold it when I bought the N64, then sold that one when I got the Gamecube, and again with the Wii. Same thing with PS and Xbox consoles (never had any Sega consoles though). I've always sold them at about half the price of retail at that time. But now, my PS4 with a P.T. copy, has already increased it's va...
I have bought game keys before from CDKeys.com and they work, but this one seems too good to be true. I have trust issues so I'll pass this time.
You won't be disapointed. If you like puzzle games like Portal you'll love The Talos Principle. It's the best game I've played this year so far. I thought it'll be for PC only, but now that it's comming to PS4 I recomend to get it on PS4 instead of PC, because the only problem with the game on PC is that the engine is not well optimized and crashes a bit too often. Also the frame rate is almost impossible to keep at 60 fps. But still a fantastic game!
I ACTUALY have asked kids in school. Didn't read it on the internet. Most kids know what an Xbox is, a little less also know what a Playstation is, but when I ask about the Wii U or Nintendo, most of them have no idea what I'm talking about. My conclusion: Nintendo has an urgent problem to solve. I still haven't seen one sigle add for the Wii U in cable channels like Discovery Kids, Nickelodeon, Disney XD. WTF Nintendo? And at the same time they are killing Youtube exposure to the...
Also another sign that Nintendo is sinking is that I've noticed that most kids today under 8 years old don't know what Nintendo is. Some know about Mario, but when I ask kids if they like to play Nintendo most of the time they stare at me confused as if I just said a bad word. Kids this days play on their parents smartphones and tablets, and when they learn about consoles usually is the Xbox or Playstation what calls their attention. I think this has become a huge problem for Nintendo...
@monkeyman
Have you ever stopped to think that if popular channels like Game Grumps weren't doing videos of Nintendo games, Nintendo sales could be even lower?
I recomend you to get some business and marketing books and educate your self in those areas before posting more comments defending Nintendo's stupidity. It is ovious in all your posts that you have no idea how businesses and marketing/advertising works.
Agree, but also what Nintendo did is an announcement of an announement, wich is a pretty stupid thing to do, so yes, they killed the Wii U for all the reasons you mentioned and now they just give it the last shot in the head with the NX anouncement.
I mean, if Nintendo was not going to give us any info about the NX at the time, only that they will tell us more about it next year, then they should have keept their mouth shut!
Yes. I bought the PSone just to play FF7, and I told my self I'll sell it after finishing the game. I ended up selling my N64 instead. Later I bought the Gamecube just to play Wind Waker, was supposed to sell it afterwards, but instead I keep it along my PS2. I guess when you don't care much about a console, a great game can be the best incentive to do the investment, and once it's done you probably keep buying games on that console.
Excelent read.
"Nintendo never positioned themselves to compete with their more tech savvy competitors. They didn’t expand their studios for the upcoming demands of HD gaming in the current generation. They didn’t acquire any new studios. They didn’t build a vibrant online infrastructure. They could have sent out dev kits for free and lower royalties to attract 3rd party developers. They were poised to strike, but never did. Its almost as though they pretended the whole ...
I can't remember when was the last time I bought a PC game on disk. I thought they didn't exist anymore.
Is this truly real time? Am I dreaming? I've done renders before with path tracing renderers running on GPUs and never thought it could be possible to do them in real time without noise. I've even used OTOY's own Octane renderer and never saw something like in this video. What GPU was used to render it? Or I should ask how many GPUs were used? Because if this "real time" is done with the help of a render farm then it won't be useful in gaming, but if this can be done...
Finaly! Iwata has realized he is the boss of a videogame company. Seven years late, but as they say, better late than never! I thought I'll never see a change under Iwata's management, I believed that Nintendo will have to get rid of him first to eventualy do some changes.
Also I'm impressed by the stock market respone to these news, Nintendo stock (NTDOY) jumped almost 30% just today!!! I hope this is the turning point for Nintendo and they start making smart decisions.
I guess we have a different point of view regarding the PS3 and PS4, here is why I don't feel messed up by Sony:
1- Yes there are some bad and overhyped games, like Driveclub or The Order, but guess what, I didn't bought them. I don't have to buy each and every game there is on a console because I don't have to (see? no loyalty).
2- I don't play online games, ever, so I don't care if it's not free anymore.
3- Taking out backwards compatibili...
Of course I'm a specs whore! Like all third party developers. Why wouldn't we? What's the purpose of upgrading to a new console generation if there is no improvement in the hardaware specs? Why would I have bother investing in a gaming PC if I didn't care about the graphics power? Do you really think I beleive you are OK with the Wii U specs? If the Wii U were the console with the best hardware this generation would that make you feel bad? If you truly love the Wii and Wii U b...
Arkham Origins wasn't developed by Rocksteady.
