Wow, I hadn't heard anything good about this game so far... in fact, Joystiq couldn't even finish it! Now I have to read your full review and see why you gave it a 9. Maybe I shouldn't have passed on this one after all...

I think that's a big reason it got over looked, and part of what I talk about in the article. If you do have a PSP though, it's worth picking up.
I pre-ordered and can't wait to play it :). I'll take another Zelda game anyway I can get it, especially if it doesn't involve trains... lol.
Great article that makes some good points. I definitely have more time for handheld gaming than I do console, and it would be great if you could play VC titles on your DSi, especially if you could transfer your saves between the DS and Wii.
What about a 1000-point scale? I think that'd be better, with four decimal places. That way, you'd know a game was really good if it got a 987.8373 out of 1000.
Yeah, people definitely abuse it, but I really use it a lot personally and would be sad if it went away lol.

I don't think that's true; I think what can happen is you have what would be a good game if it ended "on time" is made bad by the fact that it drags on too long. Definitely felt this way with Bowser's Inside Story. It wasn't a bad game, but it should have been much shorter.
If it wasn't for the map problems, I would be tempted to try this out, although I have to say that the fact that some bosses are random encounters is pretty cheap. I don't think I've ever experienced or heard of that before.
I'm not a big fan of fighting games, but now I know this definitely isn't the one to pick up, lol.
Not a game I would play, but I agree that the video review was good. He set it up in the intro to be terrible!! (And it isn't.)
I actually just finished reading an article about FarCry which was talking about how the game attempted to create moral ambiguity where you had to choose the least of two evils...
Again, choice is good if it's implicated correctly and not just tacked-on for the sake of it.
Some good points. I don't think I've ever seen a PC game at a gamestop, for instance. Best Buy still has a decent selection, but it's definitely not as good as their console section. Personally, I still vastly prefer the retail version to the digital, unless price is just so much cheaper.
I never got a chance to play the first one, so I may have to pick this one up... it's been a long time since I played a game like this, lol.

I tend to restart because I stopped playing and it's been so long it's just better to start from the beginning than try to pick up where I left off...

I hadn't realized until I read an article about it in Edge a few months ago what a big business games like Farmville are. You and me may not consider them to be video games, but they're a part of the changing industry all the same.
