LOL. Yeah, I need to play this as well. It's on the list now that I finished Dragon Age, since I'm hoping "Awakenings" will go on sale :).
I'm dumbfounded as well. I approved it because I read the article and the person actually did a decent (if not deep) job of comparing sales figures for five exclusives.
He doesn't come out and shout PS3 Wins! or even 360 Wins! - He comes to the conclusion that exclusives do about the same on both platforms.
Yeah, it could have gone into more depth, but it's still interesting.
Not sure how that is spam, either, frankly.
You know, the more I use it, the more I have to agree. But I've never played 360 or Xbox (original), so I'm only comparing it to old-school controllers, really.
For old-school, I think I'd have to go with the Sega Genesis controller.
Yeah, I have to admit I was also surprised to see all the good reviews coming in for this title. I'm not huge into these types of games, but I'd be willing to rent it if I was bored LOL.
This game is next on my playlist. I just have to finish the last part of DA:O, then I'm sucking myself into this baby. I'm curious to see how I think about it once I've played through it all.
I'll probably rent this eventually, but I have other games I need to get through first lol. :)
Just FYI, some of you didn't seem to notice that they reviewed the PS3 version, not the 360. They usually don't review a game more than once for different platforms.
Also, Edge is notorious for being very critical, usually much more so than most other magazines or sites. (Why I am still surprised that Bayonetta got a 10... but that is another story).
In other words, they rarely, if ever, give out 9s & 10s, so in general you can look at a game they rate with an ...
Yeah, considering how the balance board is the focus of the game, you would think they would've spent more time making sure it worked well, but oh well. It doesn't sound like it's nearly a big a fail as Tony Hawk Ride.
I'm really looking forward to this, although I'm debating about whether I should pre-order or just wait since I still haven't finished the main game yet and have Heavy Rain to get through :).
As if they didn't have enough money made off the COD franchise, especially MW2... I definitely agree that they were fired to avoid paying them their dues.
Depending on what their contracts say, however, Activision may have to pay up (unless they settle first).
Oh, yeah... Witch's Tale definitely was one of those games that started out (I suspect) as one kind of game, got shifted to another, and never really succeeded as a result...
This game reminds me a little of Dragoneer's Aria, and if it were on PSP I would be tempted to give it a try for the unique battle system... but my console-hours are very limited, and so I have to be a bit more picky.
Why should they be allowed video games in the first place? You commit a heinous crime and you shouldn't be showered with petals and roses. At least that's what I think.
It's a shame it doesn't apply to pre-orders :(. That'd cover the tax!
Wow, I'm really surprised. I'd pretty much written this one off immediately, being a movie-tie-in game... Maybe I'll have to check it out after I see the film.
If you read the article, you'll see it's a poster making fun of girls, hence the pertinence to her points.
Very interesting article.
I definitely think the "time/distance" argument is a very good one to put forward. It often takes distance to realize how significant a piece of art (whether it be literature, film, or whatnot) really was.
I also think that it's a valid point to argue that not all aspects/representatives of a medium are necesarily "art." I'm sure many people (please don't flame me for this) wouldn't include the Twilight book series in t...
I think Atelier Annie (on DS) actually looks better, but maybe it's just me.
Interesting article. I don't have a DSi, because I have a relatively new DS-lite, but I do have a PSP. The main reason I haven't invested in the minis is the price-point, although that seems to be partially due to the ESRB requirements... I also don't like the way Nintendo limits the downloads to a specific handheld, meaning it can be challenging to keep your games if you upgrade or get a new color. I know that would make me (personally) hesitant to spend my money on DSi games.
Wow, I didn't realize it was so short (1 hour). I don't think that's worth $10. Does WiiWare ever have sales? LOL.
What about that Sun from Level 2 in SMB3? Unless you flew, that guy was an annoying SOB.
