I plan on playing the first one since this was my first of the series and you can get it so cheap on PSN (and I can play it on my PSP). :) Especially if you say the story never disappoints as I think this game had one of the best stories of any game I've played.
Very good video review. Although I'm a little apprehensive about the no-pause feature, I think it's worth trying :).
Still, I'm very disappointed to hear this. I have four dogs that climb all over me and not having a pause feature is disappointing, especially since the difficulty level is already so high. I forsee myself dying many a time unnecessarily because of that. I have this on pre-order, but really wish they hadn't given enemies the opportunity to kill you while in your menu. That's just not cool in my opinion.
I know some other reviews had mentioned that while you have 108 blades, there really isn't a lot of variation. I think I'll rent this one, and then, if I really like it, buy it. It just gives me more of the "fighter" vibe, despite its aesthetic beauty.
I'm really looking forward to this game... I can wait a little longer, if need be :).
A great game... I'm about half-way through the story and enjoying every minute. I really like the way they've made an attempt to keep things from getting stale. Also a really creative review idea!!
I know it's blasphemy to say this, but I'm neither a Beetles nor a Rockband/Guitar Hero fan, but it's good to hear that the game is worth it for everyone else out there (lol) who does like those two things. As far as the length/amount of songs, I'm pretty sure I read they are planning a heapload (made up a word there) of DLC for it, including plenty more Beetles tracks that weren't included in the main game.
After all, it wouldn't be a true music game without tons of extra track...
"I’m fine with [people reloading saves to avoid bad endings], but the right way to enjoy Heavy Rain is really to make one thing because it’s going to be your story."
Actually, it seems like he doesn't care if you change your decisions during the game, but doesn't want you to actually go through and play the game more than once. Frankly, if I were him and was going to say anything about it, it seems it would make more sense to want you to just go through (without reload...
I'm a little disappointed this will be gunplay focused, as I'm not a shooting in general... but will wait and see. This is the most I've heard about this game anywhere, so thanks for the preview!
Yeah, it's a shame. But this site will ship to the US, unlike other places I found where you can buy it... so if you're willing to import, you can have them :D. I wonder if ThinkGeek will ever carry them? They had something like this a couple years back, and this is the type of thing they usually carry... but maybe it's only available to UK retailers...
EX-ACT-LY! No Chrono Trigger? No Dragon Quest? No Fire Emblem? I could go on... disappointing list :(.
Well, I think the point isn't so much about the COLOR, but about the assumption that girls only speak in text speak and are only interested in something if it carries the Hannah Montana brand (or something similar). I personally picked up this set because I love the color, but am promptly going to sell the HM stuff on ebay. I had found the set before I saw the marketing campaign, and personally had to roll my eyes about it. The video game industry tends to assume that all girls want are pi...
Thanks for the great review... I know I will pick this up eventually, since it has been getting decent reviews :).
I don't care what anyone says, the PSPGo is overpriced. Yes, the iphone is comparably priced, but it's a PHONE. Why do I want to pay $100 more for something that is basically the same as the current PSP model (in terms of features and battery life) just because it's smaller, then have to pay full price for games I can only have in digital form? (Persona PSP will be $40 for BOTH the digital and the retail versions, and the retail comes with extras the digital copy doesn't.)
Als...
Yes, when I saw White Knight on the list, I thought it was unfair to include it, if only because it hasn't made its debut outside Japan yet. I thought this was an interesting idea, but if you're going to use a game, make sure it has been released worldwide (or at least in the major regions) first.
I have to say, working on this piece got me more excited about this game, even if I was initially turned off by the overt show of skin, etc.
That is true, but if you don't have a copy, it's actually a pretty good price, especially since it's new, and then you get the added bonus that it's a collector's item, being a rare version of the game. ;)
I think this is great if you are a Mortal Kombat fan/collector.
Makes me wish I had picked this one up after all... :S.
My copy is on its way :D. I can't wait :D!!
