I also have to admit I got back into gaming seriously due to an illness, as it was a way to keep my mind off the pain. I am glad that others, such as Janet, have been able to enjoy games for what they should be: entertainment.
I wish her the best in her battle!! Thank you for sharing her story, despite what some users might say, I think it is a good message to share, for both regular gamers and those who may be going through hard times emotionally or physically.
Yeah, it's a real shame, because when it's working, it's different and fun. But spouting colorful language and wanting to chuck your DS against the room because you've tried for 10 minutes unsuccessfully to pull a bullet out of a wall or cut something with your scalpel is just a big fail in my book... :(
I haven't decided yet about this game in the pre-order sense...

I'm not a big fan of DLC in general, but at least it's $5 instead of $15.
You gave this game a much higher rating than I did, my friend. The control problem was just too bad to overlook in my opinion, unfortunately.
This game is OK. The gameplay can be repetitive and annoying at times, but can also be fun and a bit addictive, too.
There is an error in this review, however. Multiplayer does not require friend codes, although if you have friends, you can either play locally or over wifi together.
I agree that I was surprised, but my guess is they're trying to attract the older, casual gamers.
I know I've often thought of getting my mom a DS since she used to be so obsessed with my gameboy back in the day, but I was afraid that she'd have trouble with the small screens due to her poor eyesight.
I'd like to see this in person, but I would consider this for my mom down the line, or perhaps for myself since I never did do the DSi thing.
LOL. I have to confess I played through the entire storyline, although there was a part of me who was saying, "why are you doing this?" yet I did it anyway, lol. So there is some fun to be had.
I'm really looking forward to this game. I'm so glad it's coming to the US :).
I haven't played it yet, but so far it seems to be getting great scores all around. I think I'm going to remain skeptical about it until I actually play it, though.
I still haven't had a chance to play the main game lol. Still, it's a little disappointing this wasn't better.
I have to say, so far I've only bought one collector's edition, and that was Demon's Souls, because it had the guide with it.
So they ARE making a sequel! I had read a while back it was a hoax. Good to hear though, whether or not pigs are involved. lol.
This is on my back log. Love the fourth one and look forward to trying this one.
I won this as part of a raffle and still haven't gotten a chance to play it yet. I know, I know, I'm a terrible person. There. It's out there. LOL.
I haven't played Dead Space: Extraction, because, again, I'm too scared to play it lol (and not a big shooter fan), but I've only heard good things about it. I heard they really worked with the limitations of the Wii hardware and have done something really great... of course, I haven't played it, so I can't say if that's true or not.
I have to say that while Phantom Hourglass was far from being the best in the series, overall it was fun to play. Spirit Tracks, on the other hand, is not. I started it and still haven't finished it because I just can't bring myself to keep playing. I have to say I was very disappointed.
I just got an iphone and the staggering amount of aps (including games) is daunting. This is just what I need to see what's worth spending my money on.
I've been excited about Fragile for over a year... can't wait!
@ Hisiru - no, it's not the system's fault, but unfortunately many developers make the same mistake and cause similar control problems.
So far, of all the DS games I've played, this definitely has the worst control problem I've encountered, as it really can make the game unplayable... an unforgivable offense, in my opinion.
