The issue I find with this statement it's that the could be referring to ANYTHING, is he talking about lifetime sales? The US? The first day? The first year? First week? PC? Worldwide?
I find it hard to believe that gears 5 so far has already sold more copies than lifetime gears 4 sales, specially if you add the fact that day one was on Gamepass.
The worst part it's how nobody mentioned anything on the reviews, I guess reviewers just take it out of the box, see how it fits in their hands and try it for 1 hour before slapping a score on it.
Please no mobile developers or freemium developers, we don't need more of that here.
Yeah right, very nuanced how you had either 10/10 or like 2/5, a lot of nuance In that.
"Nonsense! Xbox had SIX first party studios at that time and you expected them to deliver buckloads of AAA first party games? Gimme a break!"
OMG!! So sorry, not 1 AAA game a year but an average of 1.25, you really showed him!! /S
That makes total sense from a developer economics point of view, instead of customers buying their games full price, they rent them for cheap. /S
And I'm not talking about the EA's and Activision's of this world, they don't deserve our money.
"Also, another false narrative debunked!"
Just because they say it, doesn't make it truth, show don't tell, i'll wait till they actually show the games and also the type of games they show, because so far they have only showed Gamepass filler.
I agree it's late but the biggest takeaway from this it's that you're going to be able to play FFXIV on the PS5 AND Scarlett, which is a good thing, there will surely be a next gen patch for the game to improve performance and you're going to be able to easily go from one generation to the other.
Thank you, I do not think the game should get a 4/10 or nothing like that, but I thing gamefreak doesn't deserve to be rewarded with 9's for this game, they will feel that the little effort they put it's enough and continue to do the same thing, the game at least based on the legitimate issues and complains should be in the low 8's
Even having 4 or 5 TB out of the gate would not be enough for a whole generation, let's say yoy buy a console day one, if you game a lot and with games getting bigger it would be unreasonable to think that 5 years down the line you would still have every single game on your hard drive, specially with games getting bigger and bigger in size.
BY THE SECOND!!!!! /S,
Dude chillax.
There you go, I was right, on the ign review they actually admit that it's lacking content and features in the very first paragraph by saying that gamefreak streamlined the experience only to put a 9.1 score, disgusting.
@Kernel
I do not even have a Twitter account, so jokes on you, what I meant it's that the general population they simply do not know all these things about the game, they will see a new Pokemon on switch and they will buy it, because Pokemon.
The "Public" don't really know all of this is going on behind the scenes, the general public are not gamers in the same way we are, they go with brand recognition, they do not read news, reviews or go to forums, and the developers are counting on that to sell again in the millions without putting any actual effort to improve on the formula or actually make a high quality, content full game
DQXI it's AMAZING!! You're in for a treat, best traditional JRPG of this generation, and SO full of content, when you get to the endgame it's basically another new game of content
It will get high 80's or low 90's on metacritic, Nintendo games are judged unfortunately under different rules, the always get a pass on things other developers get ducked points.
In my case the biggest issue it's when people judge a game based not on what it is, but on what they wanted it to be, it's like complaining that the witness a puzzle Game, didn't have enough action, or there's not enough car racing in a Resident Evil game, Review the game based on the actual game you have in front of you.
"Microsoft had Sony sweating in 2015"
Lol, what?
I'm pre-ordering the game after the ign review, I want gaming to go to different places, we need something different, different experiences, different ways to play and enjoy games with different themes, people complain that everything is the same and when somebody wants to do something big budget that goes against the norm, then they complain. I will be supporting the game, I'm very intrigued.
Stellar show??? Oh, a gamingbolt article, now I get it!
