The guy who wrote this lives under a rock, any single detail about next gen goes to the top of every single gaming site and even some non gaming ones.
I do agree that pacing is important, but after playing 200+ hours between the first 2 games, I don't think fans of the series will mind a "slow" first 5 hours in a 100+ hours game, I don't think a game like this deserves to be docked points on that.
Dino Crisis made as an extension of the first one, with next gen technology and how successful the Jurassic Park movies are now it would sell millions.
The only thing is that it has to be made as a sequel gameplay wise to the first one, in this case it has to follow the Resident Evil 2 remake improvements
As always, MS trying to play with the way they interpret the numbers to make it fit their narrative, it's not that the type of people that play 40% more games also have Gamepass, is that the people that have Gamepass plays 40% more games.
Golden sun isn't that obscure of a game series, it had sequels, it's just that the original one it's really old, like GBA old, I know I played them, Nintendo is really missing out on not making more of them, it could achieve the same level of success as the newest Fire Emblem if they bring it back.
A Next-Gen Dino Crisis would be a dream to see, built upon how they remade Resident Evil please!!!
@QuackShot
That's why I said it was a timed deal, if you don't want to get too specific the same bundle was for $199 last Black Friday, it was the console plus Minecraft, so the actual console was less than $199. Or you can buy a Switch Lite now for $200
@QuackShot
There's been a bunch of timed deals where you can buy an Xbox One for $180.

Or maybe you don't consider the Xbox One a console worth noting.
I'm not saying it's unfair, I'm saying that it's going to 2 different audiences at the same time, kudos to them for thinking this.
It should be, considering how much it cost.
The thing about this comparisons is that while somewhat accurate, they don't take into account that the switch is both a home console and the new handheld from Nintendo, even when Nintendo consoles didn't find success their handhelds always have done amazingly well, in this case they are double dipping in two different crowds and then some.
And I'm going to be SO happy when it does!
They should announce already #4, they release 3 games close together and still no info on the final chapter, please don't leave us hanging.
Dude I'm on my nightmare run on the second one on my way to the Platinum, you will not be disappointed, really great games, the ONLY gripe for me is that I'm a sucker for equipment and I think at least the weapons should change look when you buy new equipment, hopefully the third game will address this, but taking that out, the games are amazing.
@Kavorklenstein
"but I think there is a big difference between "having low standards" and just accepting things and not complaining."
You mean to just shut up and "take it", cool story bro!
Not everyone is capable of having every single system known to man as you, if I had everything I wouldn't worry neither about quantity or quality of the MS console, but for the people that only have an Xbox and want ...
"Gears 5 demonstrates that we should never give up hope for our favourite console. Even if it is suffering from a dry patch... Of a whole console generation"*
There, fixed.
I guess people really have very low standards, just the one great game in YEARS, not genre defining, not game of the generation, just a great game after a dry spell of years is enough to make it all worth it.
@UhOh
I have both for Dreamcast, Skies of Arcadia as a game it was much better and way ahead of it's time, Grandia 2 had a better battle system and really good, but SoA was just on another level, truly timeless classic.
When it was just the one producer it was nothing, but when both leave basically one after the other 1 year before the launch of the biggest and most anticipated MS
and Xbox release in probably more than a whole generation of time, there's surely something there.
I wish we could finally get a sequel to Skies Of Arcadia, I would be happy even with a remake.
For me the Dual Shock 4 it's the most comfortable controller that Sony has ever produced, the only thing they need to improve for the DS5 It's battery life first and foremost, then better triggers and quality of analogs, then it would be perfect in my eyes.
