Something tells me this is either him lying or not being accurate with the circumstances, when I bought way back when an Xbox 360 it came with a faulty controller, was frustrated at first, bought a second one, enjoyed the 360 for an entire generation (mine didn't RROD).

This just goes to show that reviewers just play maybe 10 hours at best and then slap a score to a game, any reviewer that actually finished the game should have pointed this out.
I'm not against these articles, these are surely questions that journalists should be asking, I just find it funny how nobody ever mentions this when they are talking about Nintendo games, not only are they also full priced, they stay that way throughout the entire generation.

I think for him it kinda makes sense considering the age of you know who at the beginning versus him and then all the added years after that, for her I could have done without aging her up.
There are 11 characters and 5 stadiums for a full priced game this is just sad.
They are promising 20 characters and more stadiums, but they should not review on the promise of more content, they have to review based on what's there now, this game based on what it offers it is not an 8.
They definitely are doing the bare minimum lately in most of their offshoot games, only major franchises are getting the full development treatment and they are very few and very far between. I guess as long the Switch keeps printing money they will not care.

I still remember all the glowing reviews when it launched supported on the promise of GaaS model and goodies given to reviewers.
Only a few months later almost the entire community was already disappointed with the game, that's why games need to be reviewed at launch by what's there, not by what is promised to come.
