This is basically them going back to not giving any games whatsoever and still charging for the monthly service, just as it was before, I highly doubt even a small % of people actually download these games, probably in the single digits.
I'll take it, but I would have really loved a remake instead, I feel a game like SOA deserves one.
LOL, so basically people MIGHT finally see the difference by like year 5 of the console generation, I'll take Sony first party output over that any day of the week.
It's usually the small independent developers that get both exposure and money upfront when releasing games on GP, they are usually the ones that praise it the most.
These developers need to shut up and let their games do the talking, they have quite a huge undertaking with SH2, They either hit a home run with that one or it will be considered a failure, no in-between.
I mean, it was a fair complaint at the time, not a "DRM BS narrative", the game WAS always online. Once they remove it then really good for them to listen to their customers.
@DogJosha
Whatever makes you sleep better at night.
@Bemi
The thing with COD is that it's a yearly franchise, GTA is a once in a generation game, if that, GTA V was launched originally on PS3 in 2013, as a single game it has for sure sold more than any COD game individually, but not more than the last 10 years of COD games.
Pokemon is most likely a candidate to have sold more, but I guess we are talking about a franchise within the PlayStation Ecosystem
@DogJosha
There literally was an article a few days ago saying exactly that, LOL.
"Call of Duty Was Top-Selling PS5 and PS4 Game for Last 10 Years"
https://www.yahoo.com/enter...
So, yes, it is the best selling franchise AND games on the PS ecosystem, and not only that, it has been that way for at least 10 y...
LOL, Best answer so far, an entirely new game from scratch (not existing IP) takes up to 4 or even 5 years to make, but MS be like "here you go Sony, you have 2 chances in the next 10 years to make an entirely new franchise that can beat of at least compete against your highest selling games for each of the past 10 years in a row, individually"
I'd take a full blown remake of RE6 based around a GREATLY expanded Leon part and make it even more horror.
That might be something I would be interested in, do not care about any of the other parts of that game.
Yep, it will fail miserably and then they will either have to force correct and/or regrettably will be absorbed by a bigger company.
Dude, I still remember the TV spots, "the most expensive game ever made" and stuff like that while showing CG cutscenes, that's what got a LOT on new people through the door, then they stayed because they fell in love with the game, but surely the CG spots and publicity had a lot to do with how this side of Japan was won.
This news sucks, he was still so young at 60!
All of them, basically every year that COD released it was the best selling game on the platform, all of them except Vanguard in 2021.
They do not want anybody to read the fine print.
Based on another article on the same subject that was denied because a "duplicate" (even though it included additional and very specific information not found on this one), it seems that "still after 24 requests from the FTC’s legal team on the case, Microsoft refuses to provide requested documents, even with the FTC’s team being as specific as possible."
After 24, I repeat, 24 different requests, MS refuses to provide the requested documents. LOL.
And Specs.
They released Crisis Core on the Xbox, surely it sold like crap, that's why they are not wasting any effort to get other games there.
For everyone complaining, Octopath Traveler has been on Xbox for years and has not been released on PlayStation to this day, they probably did it only because they paid for it to be on GP, if not, not worth the effort.
