Wii Sports was a finished game, and everything on it was very obviously by design, but I have been looking for games to top what Wii Sports has done.
Brunswick Pro Bowling is a slight improvement on bowling (though probably not enough for most people to spend their money on). Tiger Woods showed us that golf can be amazing on the Wii, not just one 9 hole course. I haven't played it, but I hear The Bigs gives a good step up for baseball too.
It looks like tennis ...
The PS3 may be the most powerful console, but if you put all the food in the world behind a lock that is complicated enough, you'll still starve. I just don't see the PS3 games blowing anyone away until its far too late, because the lock to those wonderful graphics is too complicated.
That besides the fact that graphics don't mean everything. The Wii and DS hold as much of the top 10 as the 360 and PC, and there are no PS3 or PSP games there.
Yes, I must, unless fanboys learn logic.
As I've said before, I'm not sure I'll ever buy a bluray player, because I'm not so sure I want to sign the contract that says I must defend bluray with my life no matter the logic behind it.
It seems everyone on this site selectivly ignores the good HD DVD news and bad bluray news. Let's put together some numbers you don't see on this site, simple though they may be, and show that bluray is not a god, and blind comments ...
Developers all want to make money. If Sony makes a Wii-like addition to the PS2, besides the fact that it would prolong the PS2's life, which is hurting Sony, Nintendo, and MS right now, it would get virtually no games for it.
The reason is because devlopers know fewer people have the motion sensing device and many of them will not buy their game (even Mario Bros only sold 60% as much as the NES, and it came with the NES for most of its life!) Knowing that most people with th...
Wow, crybaby writers?
Let's see here, Nintendo gives casual and hardcore gamers something to love. Both are catered too, and the time for the casuals is very nearly over, with hardcore games comming over the next few months.
Heaven help a company that knows who it needs to advertise to! Us hardcore gamers know what games are comming. Nintendo has to constantly reach out to the casual that will not know what games are comming. I can go and look up all the game...
Let's play with some numbers. Let's say bluray has sold 4.5 million. It's a nice round numer, and vgchartz says 4.32 million PS3s have sold (I know PS3 fanboys think its more), so 4.5 million players seems fair enough for a nice round estimate. Let's say about 600,000 HD DVD players are out there, as well. Last figure I see is 500,000 from better than a month ago, so we'll just estimate 600,000.
Now, bluray is outselling HD DVD 2:1, right? That means that 600,000 movies se...
Even better when they make out the format war to be Sony vs MS, when MS doesn't make movies or try to push a format on us. They have very little to gain in the whole thing, but MS is still the reason HD DVD is evil, and their pointlessly big "bribes" just could not possibly compare to Sony's charm that led the bluray exclusive studios to cut out very neary as much of the market (about 3% bluray vs 2% HD DVD).
Yeah, right. It is funny, though, watching their reasonin...
8.0 would be insane for how well other sites are rating MP3.
Then again, if I remember correctly you said Bioshock is better than MP3 because MP3 doesn't work off the same graphical power and lacks multiplayer.
The 360 should have more games, and more good games than the other two consoles. I'll risk the same person disagreeing with me as before, but the PS2 puts the 360's game library to shame, too, but it's been around longer, so it should. Same for the 360 compared to the Wii/PS3.
I would agree that PS3 has no great games yet, but they should be comming (though some of the "great games" have been getting poor reviews.)
The Wii has a few great games out ri...
I only own a Wii, and I don't get a ton of time on the PS3 or 360 that my friends have (partly because fewer of my friends own those consoles, partly because we're rather play the Wii), and it looks somewhat like something I might write. It's rough and terribly obvious sarcasm, while sarcasm should never be obvious.
I think this was actually probably writen by someone who likes Nintendo, and less likely by a MS fan, but definately not by a Sony fanboy. You don't write satire ...
From what most other sites are saying, 9/10 is low, but to get, say, 9.5/10, it would be 4.75/5. Not many games are supposed to get 5/5 or 10/10, and, while I don't knoe what it deserves, yet (looks great), its hard to complain about 0.25 difference from what others are giving, out of 5.
This score is certainly within the margin of "error" when looking at review scores. If the average were 9.5 and they give it a 2/5, that should raise red flags, but we're looking at...
Never mind the articled from blu-ray.com, they're perfect and tell the total truth.
Well, I can't totally bash them since I saw one article from them say that the format war never should have been and one format has just been hanging on for months because of support from paid off corperations, so they can talk bad about bluray, but forgive me if I trust a website that does not include the terms bluray or HDDVD in the address and an article writen by a guy who is both saying he ...
Err...what kinds of games do you like?
The Wii has fighting, shooter, multiple different sports, racing, platformer, action, RPG, and even sim games out or comming.
If you don't like any of that, what do you like, and what games are you getting for the other systems? I doubt they fall outside of all of those catagories, but if they do, obviously the Wii has nothing for you.
Compared to the PS2, the 360's game library is garbage.
And don't whine because it's been out longer, because the 360 has been out longer than the Wii, and you find it fitting to compare them.
Edit: Typo, and I get disagrees for pointing out obvious logical flaws?
You get disagrees for your 360 comment, but I think you make a good point.
I know people who play games for a number of reasons, and I know almost all of them started on an NES. No matter your reason for playing, you could find it on the NES.
Play for bragging rights? Drop that 60 hour game you're playing now and beat Ghosts and Goblins on your old NES. No AI makes any game near as hard as that old beast.
Play for fun? A 5 minute session with M...
9 is one of the harsher scores I've seen, if you can call a 9 harsh. But between 9.5 and 10 seems to be normal, so 9 isn't an oddity.
It will be interesting to see it be deeper than Pokemon. It looks like only 3 types of monsters (though I would assume many different types of attacks, and probably varying weaknesses and resistances), while Pokemon has 17, and with the multiple typings on one Pokemon and nearly infinate possibilities for a team, I'll be interested to see them make it more of a challenge to master.
I'll hold my judgement, though, and, besides, I like this kind of game, so I can't talk bad abou...
Both Prime games have sold over a million, and this should be no different judging by the great reviews.
And looking ahead, Mario 64, last time we saw Mario like we do in Galaxy, sold over 10 million copies, and SSBB should sell over 5 million going by the previous numbers, and, going by the trend from the last 2, may get close to 10 million. All of them are very different, are not something you can get anywhere else (MP has always been something different than just a FPS, eve...
Nope, its not news, but it is pretty funny. Perhaps more funny is the number of people who take this seriously. Satire and sarcasm seem to be a lot art, judging by the writing, and the number of people who understand it are low, judging by the number of people who are taking it seriously.
I can see why people thought Swift was being serious about eatting babies, but this was not nearly as well written as "A Modest Proposal" and an obvious attempt at sarcasm, while i...
Look at the 360 and PS3. Take away the graphics updates, and what do you have in either of those that revolutionize gameplay? Nintendo is revolutionizing the industry for the 3rd time with respect to the controls. It's what they do, change how we play.
Now, as for games for the Wii. I trust you don't mind me looking forward to exactly one year from now, since the 360 has been out a year longer (and if you do mind, I would ask you to compare the 360 library to the PS2 librar...
