There is no reason for photorealism, and less so in a game that wasn't meant to be like that. Metroid is a ahrd game to look at from a graphics standpoint because it's not meant to be the most realisty game, but its not cartoony...
I know what you mean. No FPS has even hed a candle to Goldeneye, and I can't stand to play any new ones (such as Halo) because for all the flash and graphics and even online multiplayer, it doesn't compare to getting 3 other people together and killing each other on a N64 game.

I've never found the PS3 or 360 to be overly impressive themselves. They have better graphics than the Wii, but its nothing compared to waht Nintendo bridged when it's Gameboy threashed the Game Gear in the hand held market nearly 2 decades ago.

There is quite a difference between good graphics and good games.
If two men have to tracel 30 miles to work, it doesn't matter if one of them has a beat up 10 year old car and one of them has a new $50,000 car. How the car looks doesn't matter nearly as much as the simple fact it gets them where they want to go.
What Ubisoft is doing is giving one of them a bicycle.

It seems you confuse controls and graphics, since the controls are the problem. They made it like the 360 with having to hit buttons to control different things that should be controlled by timing and slight differences in how you swing.

Last I saw, both HD formats TOGETHER make up 5% of movie sales. 95% of consumers are still buying DVDs, and you would all be suprised how many of them have no idea this war is going on.
Now, that means about 3% of movie sales are bluray, and 2% are HD DVD. If you're not catering to, at most, 3% of the consumers, its hard to say you're anti-consumer. Maybe McDonald's is anti-consumer since they stopped with the super-sized meals.

The 360 is behind for good, if for only one reason. Nintendo can almost give away the Wii and take no more losses than MS and Sony are right now. On ebay, the Wii is more expensive than the 360 premium anyway, so that shows that people are after it for a reason besides price.

There are a few problems I have with Ubisoft now.
First, the obvious one. They're pushing casual games on the Wii, the games that cost just 1,000,000 euros to make, and they're getting profit from that to develop their big games for other consoles. That's terrible. Doing that you spit in the face of Nintendo and every Wii owner, saying, quite basicly, this console is how we're going to make money with our low budget games.

I actually refuse to look at any figures not presented in the article in question. Again, both camps have twisted the truth beyond recognition in most cases, to the point that they can make any figures seem good.
