They said it will be a port. They also admitted they hadn't even started it yet back around March if memory serves.
The argument that used sales hurts devs is a stupid and shortsided one for two main reasons:
First, when you buy a game the money goes to the STORE. The publisher/dev already got their money before this.
Second, even if the above were false and each new sale went Directly to the maker, let's consider were the used sale money goes. It goes to the store. The store( in most cases, a dedicated game store) now has more money. Money it can spend on more games. More game...
I'm not expecting those ventures to be all that, with Sony bleeding money and Microsoft focusing on multi media and Kinect integration...
And if your circle is as dismissive of gc and Wii as you say, you guys missed out on some really great games like little kings story, tales of symphonia, fragile ruins... I'm not offended or trying to be offensive myself on the subject, but I do think the Wii and GameCube were grossly under appreciated by many.
Did they actually say how long the battery life is? I honestly don't know.
Although, since you aren't supposed to leave your house with it and it can hook into any wall outlet, 4 hours sounds pretty reasonable itself.

If I remember correctly, the first edition bundles were very limited, and had a bunch of incentives for what was the absolutely guaranteed first buyers anyway.

Resident evil 4, until capcom back tracked on itself and made it Multi platform. And the original metal gear games on nes and the GC remake of that one ps2 metal gear were at their time exclusives.
What's funny is the ps1 was originally considered the "casual" platform of its day, and that conditioned the ps2, which conditioned the PS3...

You can be a true gamer as long as you enjoy fun games on any number of platforms. Though it is sad some people are limited by finances or personal bias(actual preference is a non issue)
