It's funny how this wasn't even a topic of discussion... until Nintendo bagged themselves a good solid exclusive...

@battle axe
He stated a fact about himself. That's a personal point: an opinion.
However, the whole agree/disagree system is just too confusing. It's hard to tell if people are disagreeing to say "It is worth is to me, so I disagree" or to say "You know nothing troll!!1!11 The wiiU is the absolute AWESOME and you should want it NAO"
We need a less vague system... @.@ Or fewer jerks...^_^;;
...huh?
...I mean....uh... whu?
Wait I think.....I......HUH??
@.@?????????
2 Disagrees? Huh...
My point is the wiiu has these obstacles the PS3 didn't have, and is still selling(pre selling. Whatever) quite well. So far anyway, it is quite impressive, and could be a show that the positives outweigh the obstacles.
Here's another one: the economic situation is less favorable to large purchases than it was when PS3 launched.
I have a feeling they have worked hard to iron out such issues. The "late" Japanese release and rumored later European release may be the result of workarounds meant to circumvent production shortages.
Your point can't be ignored however, as they very well could have been affected as such by these issues.
Here are some other points worth mentioning:
The PS3 was released AFTER the 360: next gen was in full swing. Gamers needed to buy a PS3, 360 or Wii in order to keep up with new releases. The wiiu isn't exactly in that situation.
The PS3 followed in the footsteps of the ps2, whos legacy can't be denied. While I disagree with the majority opinion on the wii, its legacy is less than stellar in the public eye. The wiiu has less to work off of for many peo...
I think some of those points are a bit off... the launch window one does make sense, but could also be used as a reason to buy a wiiu at launch.
I'm guessing it is compatible with the Wii av cables.
Could be wrong though.
Yes, the uncanny valley. That's it^_^
I get shivers thinking about some of those robots>.<;;;
I personally don't get, on a technical level, why saves can't be transferred. ?_.
You have it backwards:
Monhun made the psp. Sony had NOTHING to do with this.
However, NINTENDO made Monhun in the west. They published tri, advertised it and made it the most popular highest selling Monhun game in the west. Sony never did anything to push or help capcom with Monhun in the west or in Japan.
This is a case of people liking Monhun, not Sony. If anything, Sony fans should feel grateful to Monhun for pulling it all these years, because ...
No handheld monhun has ever had online, and 3g is no exception. While online certainly could have been added with localization, the console one was being made anyway and that one did have online built in, so it made more sense for them I guess...
?
What is stupid?
?_.
And that's just it: the beginning of the media rollercoaster that is a new console launch^_^
AAALLL ABOURD!!
Yep. Now everyone can be exactly the same...-_-;;;
Although, I miss sc2 art style, which was pretty similar to the old doa, soooo... I guess I'm not necessarily one to talk on this matter...^_^;;
There is this theory were the closer you come to realism with subject that are not actually real humans, there is this barrier that makes the subject disturbing and creepy(yes, I'm serious. Though it is mostly applied to robotics).
In cartoons, anime(a combination of Japanese design sensibilities and Disney) goes in the opposite direction from the attempt to copy visual reality(which doesn't work so well) by focusing on emotional display(hence, the huge eyes, head and...
For now... who knows what the future brings.
The fuss is magnified by those who are upset based ONLY on the platform involved. Remember the Monster Hunter 4 3ds bruhaha? VERY few people in America, especially n4g before this major series was "Robbed" from Sony by Nintendo.
Nintendo is the biggest most successful game company at the moment. They may be the only ones actually capable of making this. Microsoft appears to be sitting on their hands unless it is CoD related, Sony are shutting down studios left and right, and every other publisher are busy with their own in house work. The only realistic options money wise are Capcom, EA, Activison, Valve(are they even publishers?) and Nintendo.
Add to this Nintendo and Platinums relations, and this m...
I can't agree completely, as we have no idea how they are progressing on their consoles.
They may not have the capacity to release it, or rather to have finished one by now. So of course they couldn't release it without it being ready.
