because people were blinded by the promise of next gen. The only good port was cod2 to my recollection, and it as one of the only good games in the first place.
Gc ps2 and Xbox had much better software than this gen in my opinion. And hopefully next gen is even better. So far the wiiu lineup is looking pretty decent, a rarity for a launch lineup. That is why this is such a big deal.

Gamefreak just released harmoknight on the eshop in Japan, which is a rhythmic side scrolling adventure game.
The genre is small, but not non existent... I suppose.^_^
And then there is the fact most cod fans aren't likely to buy a new console to play a game they already have access to.
I personally disagree... multiple sku can create market confusion, and should one sku perform better sales could be lost if buyers can't get the sku they want... among other reasons.

In my experience, 2 was pretty bad...
I never had faith in 3, and still have heavy doubts about Razors Edge. Maybe this one will be good... here's hoping.
I am excited for razors edge, but even I am upset by the way the original was handled((even though I never bought it, for obvious reasons)
This isn't the first time a developer has done this sort of thing. Both tales of vesperia and graces were non PS3 games made as betas for intended "conplete" PS3 versions.
That makes sense if this rumor has any solid ground about it.
