Agree. Also got the plat. It's tied with Metro Exodus for my GOTY so far, followed by Sekiro (too hard at times) and Resi 2 (a great remake).
Seems the Japanese have good taste. Let's hope sales follow suit elsewhere. The game is a blast.
These guys only gave Metro Exodus a 7.9 and I loved it. Mad Max was so good I am willing to take a gamble on Rage 2.
I hope they stick to single player games. Plenty of others already churning out mp.
I have completed the game and am close to the platinum and would give it a 9/10.
It's a REALLY good game with some annoying technical issues.
I would add The Order 1886 to that list.
Interestingly all Sony exclusive, make of that what you will.
The detail in the environments is insane. The story is fairly epic too.
Is it worth buying? Only if you like fun.
Having finished the game it is a 9/10 for me. Other than some bugs and a lack of polish (framerate and loading get worse late game) it is a blast. It is also massive.
This game is fantastic. I'm so glad I relied on my own judgement and picked it up. I haven't been able to put it down since release.
If true sounds like the perfect reason to wait on a GOTY edition to me.
I know how it works. I played and loved Injustice 2 but it had the same issues with 'source crystals', microtransactions, RNG loot boxes, and locked content.
This is just the direction they have chosen and it is not okay with me so I will pass. Despite wanting to play the game I won't support this kind of thing.
Don't need to play the game to know microtransactions and locked content are bad.
I am amazed by all of the negativity being piled on this game. Days Gone is REALLY good. Something weird is going on because a game that looks this good and is this fun should not be getting such a bashing.
Definately great fun. It reminds me a lot of the Mad Max game in many ways, another underrated gem.
Those are all pretty good sites. I respect Angry Joe for calling out games on microtransactions etc. I think happyconsolgamer's review of Days gone seems fair. Picking it up tomorrow so will see for myself.
Nope, I don't think they do. This is the definition of clickbait. Ask a silly/inflammatory question in a effort to get clicks/responses.
The really strange thing is people will defend this and say that it's okay, it's only cosmetics, you don't need all the skins, you can unlock them via gameplay, and all other manner of excuses. This internet is a funny place.
@HighlyDoubtful
If I pay for a game I expect to be able to play the full game including all unlockables withought paying $6K or grinding for literally thousands of hours. If that is silly then I must be silly. Super silly even.
Just picked it up. Been on my radar since it was announced. From the ACG review it looks like my kind of game.
