well I know the first uncharted had one good song, but the rest of the music was kind of blah.. Even if a game has great sounding effects and surround sound, if the soundtrack is very generic - it can't be perfect. I'll have to admit I'm not expecting this soundtrack to blow me away the same way KZ2 did, but I'd love to see it surprise me.

I think Sony did early reviews for both Killzone 2 and Infamous. It shows they're confident the game will score well. If a game like this were to get a bad score and review early, people would cancel pre-orders as well as have plenty of time to rethink about buying the game. If it gets a good score, the hype for the game will build as will the anticipation, and people will pre-order. In short letting reviewers review a game early makes the score they give far more potent in effecting the ov...

It is interesting speculation. If Sony did introduce something new they could possibly add similar 3d sensing to the camera, and thus making it capable of doing everything Natal does. I guess it would depend on how many eye cameras Sony has sold for the PS3 so far, I'd bet that that number is less than 5 hundred-thousand. Sony could effectively 'beat' natal to the market.

I was wondering how confusing selling the wand will end up being really, it almost seems like it needs to g...

If it was PS3 exclusive I'd think they could market it to be 50GB to coincide with the 5

I sure hope EA loses money because they spent so much on monopolizing the NFL license. Maybe well get to a point where its no longer feasible for them to do so.

Well once the xbox fan sites get word of this review they'll be dogging the game, and making sure ODST reviews 10/10 - just so the 360 doesn't look inferior.

Honestly i bet the only reason they're putting head tracking in the game is because they have the tech ready, and they want to be the first ones to do it so Natal is seen as nothing new. Look at all the stuff Eye-pet does, by the time Sony releases this eyepet, and their new motion control, Natal will be able to do barely anything Sony hasn't already done.

Shake it how you want, KZ2 was a success, and Sony is going to go with what sells. That would shock everyone if they pulled another great looking shooter out from nowhere. I really want to see a great looking socom though more than anything right now.

The graphics still seem a little choppy atm, but if they can clean them up, make them smooth, it will be a showpiece for the PS3. The character models have impressive amounts of detail.

timed exclusive? do they mean the 2 week wait they had on Cod4 maps? that's hardly anything to worry about.

It's funny how much of the press has been trying to suggest that the PS3 slim did nothing for sales, and was actually beat by the 360. Then stuff like this comes out and they don't want to talk about it, you have to go to more obscure sites to find out the truth. I mean best buy had the thing up front of the store on display to everyone, they must have sold a ton themselves.

I wouldn't actually say Natal works that much better than the eyetoy until you've actually tried it yourself. The guys who made eyetoy and ps3 wand have actually played with the 'natal' tech way back in 2004 (theres a video of it somewhere) and it really doesn't provide any more accuracy, the biggest thing it does over eye toy is it just lets you use 3d to have an on and off switch or when to read and when not to read your actions.

MS and yahoo are pretty much one entity after their 'agreement' so it's really Sony and Google vs Microsoft and Amazon.

I read the article, I don't see how it points to a 360 announcement of FFXIV at TGS at all. They're probably just showing more of the game.

I know lots of xbox fans have kept suggesting they'll announce the 360 version at tgs, I don't know why because it's all without a grain of evidence to back it up. The 360 will probably get a port once they straighten out the xbox live issues, but it will probably be alongside the first expansion.

Tretton did announce that PS3 ...

After reading the full article the amount of consoles they see to repair somehow represents the failure rate is the stupidest conclusion someone could come up with.

After all Microsoft offers a free replacement for RROD, why the heck would you take it in to get repaired and be charged for it, (who knows if they can fix it completely i might add) when sending it to MS is free. On top of that taking the HDD drive out and buying an arcade might be affordable to someone. If you have a...

It wouldn't be hard for MS to put a fully functional IE on xbox360, it's just that Microsoft doesn't want you to start thinking you don't need a pc all of a sudden to surf the web, They want these things to be separate so you buy both and more importantly don't stop buying pcs with windows. In short 360 owners get shafted because Microsoft has an agenda to push, go ahead and keep going on and on how you don't need it, that's fine; probably makes you feel better. Microsoft could do it inexpe...

The statement would have more credibility if it was said by a journalist and not by Head of Microsoft Game Studios Phil Spencer.

When they say never you know that's crap. It will eventually, it just will probably take a lot longer to do so - the prices will come down and eventually just about match the cost of a dvd drive, much like a dvd drive matches the cost of a cd drive. I don't think any company is looking to bring out a new optical disk format any time soon with the popularity of digital emerging and the sky-high costs to do so. blu-ray has time.
