Square-enix needs to seriously considering including the option to play the original Japanese track instead of this one in the game.
This thing kinda sucks, trys too hard to be mainstream, if you want just hip hop, you can't have it, if you want just techno(there isn't any), you can't have it just about every song mixes something like rock with hip-hop, or one genre with the next, if you like them all then you're fine, but then again you'd probably rather play guitar hero in that case.
The songs they licensed are pretty good, but mixed with other tracks in the game they're rarely anything to get pumped up over.
That's funny the last time they were asked about going multi-platform, they said they were sticking with sony for the time being.
Publishers pay for the sites/magazines advertisements, the more they pay the more the magazine/website becomes dependent on them. They can and will stop the ads at anytime if the site gives their game a bad score. Not to mention pull all early access to the publisher's games. This is the sad truth why we see everyone give out inflated scores. They're all corrupt, however they try to give us some idea of the game, but the score certainly is almost never accurate. The most popular games will ...
It's funny that you bring up Rage because that game is on 2 full disks, they wanted to do 3, but MS wouldn't let them - so they had to cut out a whole section they had planned for the game.. We'll see on the length of Rage, and how much of it is just repetition. Rage is the perfect example of how MS's policies ruined something for everyone, ID were actually the ones that spoke out about MS's disk policy.
In the end it's all about disk space, and the fact MS limits all developers to 1 or 2 disks, with royalties to MS increasing with each additional disk.
Nobody (outside PS3 exclusives) is going to be able to match the level of detail ND displayed, unless they're making a 3 hour game. Microsoft and 3rd parties are going to try to emphasize 60fps because they simply can't fit the textures on a disk like a PS3 exclusive can, so they'll say engine frame rate is superior to detail.
This is probably part of why they're getting the 'localization' done so quickly, that's something they worry about in the localization process. I know I'm making an assumption, but it makes sense.
All the people that I've met that only have an xbox 360, have no interest in JRPGS, they're only interested in WRPGs. The same doesn't hold true with my ps3 friends with most actually like the FF games. The sales will show just how much the 360 fans want this game, but it might sell a million on hype/marketing alone. Barely enough to cover costs, good thing MS covered 360 development costs. Think that's implausible ... why not? they did with FF11, that's a fact.
This game reeks of the stench of M$ money. No denying it.
The Japanese song sounds so much more Final fantasy, this is a shame.
Where's eurogamer's Comparison?? where's the lenseoftruth comparison?? Why are they so reluctant to do a Dragon's Age comparison??? Maybe it's too hard this time to make DA look better on 360 by adjusting the colors? I know eurogamer had a huge dragon's age ad. campaign, heck Eurogamer has reviewed the pc version and the 360 version but have no intent on doing the PS3 version it seems.
Could it be them obviously showing their agenda? Lensoftruth really got into a lot of crap for...
BIG announcement huh.. I get the feeling they were prepared to release the PS3 version early, then MS legal got involved.
SE is pretty stupid, people are going to tear this game apart like there's no tomorrow, see what happened to tekken, no one gives a crap anymore. Multi-platform is not the way to go. The 360 fans don't like it that much to begin with, the PS3 fans will feel betrayed and thought 12 was a letdown already, no one's going to like it. Without a doubt it will be th...
This article is ridiculous, I remember they originally wanted a worldwide release for the game then the 360 got thrown into the mix and we're where we're at now. They said they had a BIG announcement, c'mon we already knew it was targeted for release in march/April sometime this was the most underwhelming announcement all year. SE let us down, it's ridiculous they're trying to excuse their behavior.
I want to play this game, but I'm not paying $80 to do so. Activision needs to make it available for purchase.
You're pretty screwed if you're connection is over 200ping.. the game is just too fast paced that a high ping will make a huge difference on your kill count, particularly in MW2 where the guys getting 5 kills or more will unbalance the game even further.
I just don't see how that's a 'BIG' announcement, we were expecting the game for around that time. I'm crossing my fingers for December, it makes sense next year the release schedule is packed.
Killzone2 has a much better single-player campaign, IW should have followed KZ2 and included a cover system with COD single player, you're just too out in the open and you get shot too easy. Even with a cover system mw2 campaign is half as fun than what guerilla released back in february
On the other hand MW2 is the better online experience, it just runs smoother, and the interface/presentation is top notch. KZ2 online is above average, they did a lot more innovating than IW ever...
How are they supposed to make the campaign longer when they're capped at 6.5gb? They still have to include all the multiplayer maps, it just doesn't fit to have a full game at the level of detail that MW2 exhibits.
They're just being cheap, it's expensive to rent out enough servers to handle the first weekend rush.. So they just coast, 'try' to make it playable till the numbers fall back down to normal levels.
It's probably not very many.
