How would it even make sense, the fun part about GTA is messing with the people and going on rampages and trying to get away with it. An MMO GTA world would be absolutely packed full of griefers, ruining the experience for everyone new.
You can bet Ninja Gaiden 3 will be there as a non-exclusive as well - possibly FFXIII-2 and MGS:R as well and even Skyrim. It's MS's way of showing you they got the core gamer covered - even if it's on the other console as well.
Don't think LA Noire was ever something Sony pretended was exclusive, and it wasn't at E3.
You're probably right about all those.
Nunchucks is Ninja Gaiden 3. They're supposed to be at E3 this year - MS's conference and a possible DLC deal seems likely.
I was also wondering if Lightning might be Lightning from FFXIII-2 instead of Raiden, but you might be right.
I hate the post E3 stuff - where a lot of the press feel obligated to declare everyone a 'winner' in some way. Seems no matter how poorly MS has a show each year there's always plenty of guys in the press standing up for them.
Think they'll make a NGP version for the west?
Lose to mobile, with their $1.99 games and minuscule production values? Sadly losing to mobile means going away for good, and $1-5 games with no production values completely dominating.
Remedy should be happy they can split into 6 studios and have no shot at making a profit against an endless sea of developers on mobile - cause you can be sure those people won't spend even $20 on a game. If reinventing something is so easy why don't you suggest how.
Does any actually trust the new guttted Infinity Ward where all the senior guys left to be able to deliver another Shooter worthy of the CoD name? I see massive production values here, but on the whole missing talent and rushed - this will be the worst CoD since 3.
Dontnod is developing an action/adventure game for Sony on PS3 - you can bet it will be shown.
You're right, the announcement might be made - but they usually don't show off the games themselves if at all. We might get a short video clip at the most.
My predictions: We know what Nintendo's doing.
Honestly I think MS and Sony are going to be very focused on Media center - Sony with Google tv/chrome/voice - MS with skype and maybe some more tv functionality. They're also going to be focused on Move and Kinect. Even though you think move is dead - don't think so. There is a massive audience of Wii owners who will be upgrading soon both MS and Sony are going after that Demographic. Home isn't going away for...
How funny that seems right now, but with the Wii forgotten (as in nintendo won't be making much for it anymore) and 'cafe' trying to hedge in on PS3/360 market-share - we're going to see both Sony and MS trying to cater to wii upgraders.
It's business - remember when 360 went heavily after PS2 upgraders? They did a pretty good job of it.
Yea no kidding where is the sequel? Considering Dead nation didn't do so hot - hopefully they'll be prodded into making one.
When I first got my PS3 back in early '07 this was the possibly the best looking game on PS3, they even upped the graphics with the 3D patch last year to full 1080p.
Quantic Dream - will be there. Probably be Sony's big reveal.
Santa Monica - will have something to show.
Zipper - Probably be there(MAG2 or something NGP related)
Liverpool - Wipeout is likely to show up.
Guerilla - not yet.
Media Molecule - not yet. (rumor is they're doing lbp NGP)
Polyphony Digital - maybe.
Sony Santa Monica helps with plenty of PSN games and helps out with other exclusives - they are definitely working on something of their own you can guarantee it. It's likely God of War related.
Sony Cambridge is making Killzone NGP, whether they're big enough to do another IP at the same time - I don't know; but my guess would be they'd be doing another move title or another NGP title. I wish they'd get their own PS3 game I loved Primal.
from what Pachter heard he gave an example of something like the Valve thing happening last year will happen, and he used Cliffy B to illustrate it. Epic is all over MS's conference this year already, so I don't think that will happen.
I'm guessing it's Bungie that will show up on Sony's stage.
"but if Sony knows what’s good for them, they’ll have something big – and free – to announce for their fans at E3."
That made me chuckle a bit..
LA Noire is the best game I've played all year, this review is a poor representation how the game is. It's a blast to read try to guess if they're lying or not it draws you into each case.
I tend to think just about every game would be better with Co Op I love playing games with friends in the same room. It seems any developer could use creative ways to incorporate a second player into any game.
A possible exception might be survival horror games that depend on the being alone part to scare you - there's more fear there when you can't depend on your friend to bail you out. I still do like the option in those games, as long as the other player isn't ...
